+ very small and light, I have the white one and am very happy with the overall look. Its easy to use and the keyboard is pretty much the same accept there is the \ key next to the shift on the right hand side instead of left so i keep pressin this instead of shift. the camera in it and mike are good to (for the price n size).

- the size of the screen really is tiny, it might sound alot but it takes a while to get used to. also the fact it has not got a cd player is very very inconvenient, I had to buy one to go with it because i have alot of things that need to be used via a cd. On top of that although fairly reliable, the mouse pad is very small and i would recommend a mini mouse instead. Oh and the little sleeve thing you get with it looks nice and protects it bit but is a hassel and doesnt do that much.
These are all minor really, but when i did get it i tried to connect to the internet and there was a promlem with the driver so i had to download this from the website n re-install it. the customer services were very helpful though.

Aesthetically it is pleasing, it is easy to carry and very lightweight.
I find it easy to use and the mouse isn't too temperamental.

excellent other than the points mentioned below.

- shift key is in an awkward space.
internet explorer would be better if it was the next version up so that you can zoom in on websites that aren't very good for viewing on a netbook.
the position of the battery means that it has a tendency to tip backwards which creates a potential to fall backwards which could be bad.

+ The screen size is perfect for a portable device. Good size keyboard with quality clicks on all buttons. Battery life is exceptional and the best i have seen, approx 7-8hrs is brilliant. Dont notice the weight difference between this and smaller netbooks, its negligible really. Perfect for web browsing or office apps on the move. Added bonus of bluetooth.

- Mouse pad can be a bit awkward to use as it has many functions and sensitivity. It often takes a couple of attempt to scroll the screen or even move the pointer. it sometimes zooms in by accident if my nail touches the mousepad at same time as finger - It has a zoom function.

+ Looks great and works like a charm! I've had no drama's at all since purchasing my NC10, and out of the box it was ready to roll.
Asthetically pleasing, and with a very nice feeling and responsive keyboard, the only one draw-back would have to be the limited space, positioning and feel of the touch-pad.

Does what we want it too, ably coping with Skype, web surfing, web-based games and casual (eg Big Fish) downloaded games. A good price, too! Highly recommended.

- Speakers are very weedy (but then, it's no hardship to plug in headphones or external speakers); the right-shift key is further right than you'd expect if you're used to a full-size keyboard, which still troubles me...! Other than that, really nothing bad to say.

+ All-round, well designed, constructed and performing netbook with superb battery life.

- Trackpad is a little on the small side with no feedback to say when you have moved off onto the surrounding surface.

+ Overall a very good piece of kit - particularly with its peers in the market at the moment. Keyboard is perfect size and battery life is excellent.

- The track pad is the weak point - small and with scrolling functionality just makes it harder to use - but something had to give with that fantastic keyboard.

+ Fantastic battery life (average ~7 hours), very portable capable computer. Light but professional looking, for first netbook to not look like a toy.

- Plastic could be a little more rigid, a little bit of creaking when picked up by the lid or something.
Super glossy finger proint magnet.
Small trackpad is very annoying All outweighed by the fantastic good points.

Expert reviews for Samsung NC10 - with 6 cell battery (Netbook)

PC Advisor expert review - by Andrew Harrison

The MSI Wind U100 is arguably the pick of current netbooks, inspiring rebadged versions under such names as Advent and Medion. Samsung must have looked at MSI's successful design when it made its own Samsung NC10 netbook, for it is very much a me-too Wind.
