Sound not very good could have put in a better sound system. Remote is basic, you have to go through steps to do what you want other than channel changing, on/off, and volume. The old design remote was a lot better, fewer steps and also lite up at night..

Remote needs to be pointed directly to the power light to on the right corner of the tv before tv responds to the remote. You could struggle with working the menu. Picture takes time to come when it's switched on, no surround sound so can't get my home threatre surround speakers to work with it.

Unit is Plug and Play so it after unpacking and pluging it in, it literally sets itself up, just wait for it to do its stuff and your watching Digital Tv in no time,
The unit itself looks sleek with no labelling artworks on the front except the Samsung logo at the bottom, the control buttons on the front of the unit are almost invisible which is good, coz lets face it your never going to use them.
There are loads of connections, with 3xHDMI inputs, 2xScart, 1xRGB, 1xPC, 1xS Video, Audio Out, and more.
There are also some easy access inputs at the side, I use these for the Video Camera, this includes The Video and Audio in and also 1 of the HDMI inputs and the S-Video.
When comparing other Tv's Check how many inputs it has you may find others have far less and you will be supprised how many you will need.
There is also a great Idea of an input called a Wiselink, Its basically a USB stick input, this is used so you can turn your telly into a HUGE picture frame, Ive not used this option yet so can comment on what it's like.
Even without a HD source the picture is good, With a HD source the picture is GREAT. This is my first 46 inch LCD and was supprised how good it was, I have waited for years for the price's to come down and the quality to go up, I was'nt dissapointed.
-
Sound not great, but with a TV like this you just have to get a full Cinema surround, you would be mad not to!

|
|
Most small flatscreen TVs have LCD screens. Some larger TVs have plasma screens. Some very new TVs have LED screens. Traditional TVs are called Standard or CRT.
|
HD TV

|
Full HD 1080p
|
‘HD Ready’ is a Europe-wide standard designed to made HD technology less confusing. HD Ready TVs must have
• Minimum vertical resolution of 750 pixels (in widescreen format)
• Ability to display 720p and 1080i formats
• An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface)
Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second.
Full HD is becoming common, but you won’t see Full HD on normal TV channels for a long time, so it remains optional for many people.

Plasma screens have historically boasted better contrast ratios than LCD screens.
|
