+ Great phone, lov colour, weight and size, and relatively easy to operate.

- Not great instructions, had to go into shop to find out how to use predict text, to find different options for words. Also sliding the phone leaves finger prints on screen as there is nowhere to press to assist the slide.

- I purchased this phone as my son had a similar but more upmarket version on contract. Whilst I am generally happy with the phone and certainly could not be classed as a technophobe, I find sometimes the phone is slippery when opening and this means I hit buttons I do not mean to. This could of course be the user and not the phone itself!

- I have not found anything bad about it, in fact my teenage son was so impressed i bought him one also.

+ Easy to use without the unnecessary added extras if what you are looking for is a phone for calls and texts. The functions are straight forward and easy to access - nothing complicated about this phone (and I thought it was only Nokia which had is sussed - not any more - a refreshing change!).

- The keys have poor sensitivity making it frustrating when tapping in numbers or writing a text. The only bad feature and a minor one at that.

- bought as replacement for D600 which i loved but the battery had gone caput. the screen on J700 does not have the same clarity as the D600 also the display having all the icons up the side on the display gets on my nerves and you can't turn that off like you could on the D600. Therefore it destorts pic on screen saver.

Camera is not great (1.3 mp), but fine for the price

+ Good screen display, simple to use right from the start.

- Incredibly hard to remove the back to insert battery. Used rubber gloves to get a grip!

+ Very light and compact.

- It is EXTREMELY difficult to remove the battery cover to actually put the battery in the phone. It took me the best part of half an hour and even when it did eventually come off I was worried I might have broken it! Thankfully it's a very durable phone, but just a really stupid design in that area!! I wouldn't let this put you off, but be prepared to be tough with it!!

- Camera is very bad. It's like going back in time. The slider looks like it may be a problem in 1yr's time i.e. very wobbly. Also the covers for the charger and headphones look quite fragile. Fonts are a bit childllike.

+ It's not a confusing phone and doesn't have too many features that can confuse you. They lay out is simple and features easy to find. Overall I love the design and colour. It's just right for basic use and the little extras like camera and video. Nothing too fussy just right.

- Could have more ringtones...the one it has is embarassing! Camera is abit slow. The back of phone for the battery was really difficult to slide off. Had to use something rubber.

+ I like the shape and colour of the phone, it is very easy to use.

- I don't like the fact that if you press the middle button on the navigation pad it connects to the internet, I have done this a few times by accident as I do not use the internet at all I would prefer it to be on the navigation menu. I also do not like the fact that you have to go through the menu to get to the camera, I would like to see an easy access button on the phone.

+ I have a 2GB card in mine and have lots of music and videos on it and listen to them as I travel.
It is light and very simple to use with excellent battery life and call sound quality. I am already looking to renew my phone contract and I am going to get another j700 as mine is now very worn. I have had lots of different phones including a viewty and k800i, but this j700 is the phone i use all the time and use it to its full.
I love the fact that is is not too complicated. Shame it is not Wi Fi.

- The worst thing about the phone is the web browsing. I do not use it as it is difficult and slow. The camera picture quality is also not that good but I do not use that either. They are the only bad points about the phone but as i do not use them they never affect me.

- cant access the memory card from the PC interface, and cannot save photos directly to the card, that means after 40 or so phtos phone memory is full and need to transfer photos to the card.

+ A really good phone if you need a quick fix, but you get what you pay for.

- The graphics are very basic and old looking and the camera is way behind the times

- Small Music space, I needed to buy a Micrso SD to have more than 1 song on my phone, and by storing music on my memory card i am unable to use it as a ringtone or message tone, which is a bit annoying.

When writing a text message,you have to keep going backwards & forwards for each word you spell,which is a bit flustrating

The sound quality is excellent

Predictive Text slightly infuriating...if I change to a capital letter I end up writing in numbers as they come up before the Caps.
The fact that if I want to use my own headphones I have to buy an adaptor from someone other than Samsung to plug into the phone and then i plug my own earphones into that.

+ This is the best Mobile I have owned. The design, ease of use and long battery life, make this a phone that I would recommend to anyone.

- The keypad is a bit small for texting, especially for adult thumbs.

+ We bought this phone for my daughter for Christmas, she is thrilled and has already put a lot of songs and funny things on it.

- Only problem was the lack of memory on the phone so we bought a cheap Micro SD card and problem solved!

+ Good camera. Butons easy to press whan one handed. Large screen is helpful.

- Can expand memory with a card but can't play music from memory card in one go. Having to put them in playlists(only4) and then having to change is annoying.

+ You type in a few numbers and it finds the phone number. Useful for checking who called you on other phones, checking if you have the correct number and calling people quickly.

- The most prominent button takes you straight online (like it or not). It is also the only button that cannot be given another purpose (trust me, it just can't). The inbox/outbox is limited to 200 texts, so be prepared to delete regularly.

+ The best thing about this phone is the sound quality. Out of all the phones I've ever had, it has the clearest reception/line. I can always hear what people are saying and they can hear me.

- Worst point is the navigation. I have had other phones that are easier to use in terms of storing numbers, etc.
