+ Everyhting but the battery life.

- If it is used for anything else but the telephone, it needs to be charged between every 1 to 2 days.

+ nice lookin phone that in the main is well designed. great sic of email etc

- however if you are not used to toucjscreen this takes somegetting used to. you have to use the stylus to navigate and even then it is very prone to opening the wrong program. compared toa basic phone it can be a bit involved making a basic call. great e mail sychranisation, ring tone not very loud. aslo cant seem to later the length of the ringing tone before it stop giving you little time to answer the phone. camera and software not as goos as my previous nokia 95. complicated pairing of external gps bluetooth device, so far cant work this out

+ Well designed with large easy to see icons. The video display is very good with clear imaging. The connection and operating system is good. The Omnia has all the bits left out on the Apple iphone.

- Sound Quality, the amplifier on the Omnia is lacking power, when listening to mp3 music or speech files the volume has to be turned full up and then it still barely audible in quieter parts of music or speech, however the telephone volume is adequate. Not a smart Phone for serious music lovers.

+ Beautiful phone, loads of features and as it's on Windows mobile you can install further programs. Camera is great, internet browsing is great and includes GPS.

- Battery life is quite short, especially with 3G on. A few other little bugs but nothing too annoying.

Expert reviews for Samsung i900 Omnia

TechRadar expert review

Samsung has been loving its iPhone-style full frontal touch screens of late. We've had the the F490, which was pretty bad, the Tocco, which was surprisingly good, and now the Omnia, which is easily the best yet, and the first that can seriously measure up to the iPhone it's obviously designed to challenge.Intuitive touchscreenStyle-wise it's a sturdily built slab of minimalist cool, with call start and stop buttons flanking a motion-sensitive D-pad beneath the sumptuous 400x280-pixel, 65,000-colour screen. On the sides are volume controls, power/headphone socket, camera shutter button…
