- Not 3G and the menus are very basic. I changed for the U700V which is very much similar but with much better functionality.

+ easy to navigate around menu & good to choose own shortcuts. Screen is nice and big without making the phone too big. Good quality graphics.

- Can't set own message tone. Hard to compose text message. Can't remove access to web browser on navigation key.

- This phone has very limited functionality compared to the sony range. The network keeps rejecting some calls and cutting me off at other times. Texting can be very annoying if you are used to typing fast as the software struggles to keep up and spells words wrong. The predictive text keeps forgetting words I have input after a few goes, buttons are clumsy to use, wish I had stuck to sony erricson. The folders for storing pictures and music are pants and very confusing to use.

+ The camera on this particular phone is extremely good taking almost as good pictures as an everyday camera. It adjusts well in bright light and the flash is o.k too (for a camera phone). The overall look is sleek and it wears well even when dropped (which i have done) and it left very minimal marks on it.

- No feature to select your own or downloaded tones/music for the message. What were Samsung thinking in this day and age???

+ The phone feels and looks quality it also peforms very well with a simple menu anyone can understand. It has good music storage and radio and internet acess which are all i require.

+ Small & light weight. Nice camera with flash. The good points out-weigh the bad.

- Even in the darkest of rooms the flash will not fire - every time the camera is switched on the flash has to switched on seperately. The games aren't up to much. Menu navigation is a bit long-winded at times.

+ Small & Compact design makes it a great mp3 player for going out running with.

- Dont believe for a second that the camera is truely 5 megapixel. In fact I'd say I could take better and clearer photos with the 3.2 megapixel on my old K800i.

- The PC suite has never worked and the bluetooth can not connect and show all my files on the phone when connecting to the PC. I had a sony ericsson before and never come across these problems. I contacted Samsung and was given the run around until finally they admitted there was a problem with this particular phone and the software and said I should take it back to you for a software update. But to be brutally honest I can't be bothered. I will not purchase a Samsung again.

+ Good size and weight, great camera and fairly easy to use/navigate around overall. Settings for volume and ring tones good.

- Really hard to find a few small functions i.e. the "&" symbol and took me a while to figure out how to turn off the sound of keys when setting is normal. Also, memory for inbox seems to fill up awfully quickly.

- Nothing major, but it would be nice to be able to slide the phone without using my thumb on the screen. Perhaps a tiny rubber strip just below the screen so I can get a grip to slide the phone up, as in the previous model. I'm always cleaning my thumb prints off the screen.

- Because the phone is quite square if you have small hands like me it hurts when texting as the sharp edge digs into your hand.

+ I love Samsung phones, I find them the easiest to use. The colour is good, and it is quite small.

- I had the Samsung D600 before this one, and it was brilliant, so I thought this one would be better with its FM radio, better camera ect, but I was wrong. The text font is too small, the slider function is clumpy and scratchy,the camera functions are terrible compared to the D600, and its heavy. I got it because of the colour, and thats all thats good.

- Predictive text is useless due to the fact that it deletes words that i commonly use whilst textin which is very annoying.

- Camera takes forever to take a picture, by the time it decides to take it you've missed the shot. The software doesn't work with Vista, so I've not used the music player. Maybe I'm old, but I find the features hard to use and the keys are awkward. I keep connecting to the internet. Hate the phone, wish I wasn't tied into the contract, stuck with it for 2 years :-(
