+ Does all that is stated in the specification. With the internal hard drive brilliant for recording and transferring to a external disc

- Customer booklet could have been written with more clarity

+ This dvd recorder is ok it does what it is supposed to do most of the time. The build is good and it looks nice with the blue lights on the display.

- Where do I start. 1/ The programe guide is like something from the eightys and after thought why they could not use the same guides that they use on the samsung tv's ill never no. 2/ The machine some times will not stop recording until you unplug it. 3/ The daylight saving time mode will not work properly so it needs to be turned off and done manualy so that you can record the programe's you want to record. 4/ The clock changes time on it's own. I COULD GO ON !!!!!!!!!!

- The manual is really complicated. Still haven't worked out how to record on to a dvd that will play on another player.

- User interface not as easy as Panasonic, very difficult to navigate recorded programmes, as the description does not include the programme name, just date/time!!!

+ 1. Being able to watch a programme from the beginning which is still in the process of being recorded.
2. Being able to watch a separate programme already recorded whilst recording a new programme at the same time.
3. Simple to set up a recording schedule using the on-screen programme guide.

- 1. The operating manual is not the easiest to read, understand and make sense of.
2. Beginning and/or end of recorded programmes are quite often clipped by a minute or so.
3. Only twelve programmes at a time can be preset for recording - could do with more especially when on holiday.
4. When watching a previously recorded programme whilst recording another preset timer programme, when the recording comes to the end the playback of the programme being watched is also stopped. This requires restarting the playback of the programme to be watched from the beginning and spooling through to find the point where programme was interrupted. This is particularly irritating when it involves a long recording such as a film, etc.
5. In the list of recorded programmes only the channel, dates and times are shown - automatically adding the programme names (which are shown in the programme Guide information) to this list would be more useful when searching through a long list of recordings.

+ Slim and elegant and matches my Samsung TV. Price is good.

- Took a little while to work out how to download from a pen drive on to the hard disc. Operating manual doesn't help much but it's probably down to my age.

- DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY PLACE PROGRAMME NAME AGAINST RECORDING OR SHOW THE PROGRAMME IT IS RECORDING, MY PREVIOUS PANASONIC UNIT DID THIS AND I FOUND THIS VERY USEFUL
