Instant on, updates by itself, safe and secure
There is very little that you can do on a windows machine that cannot be done on a chromebook.
Search the Chrome Web Store to find all the necessary apps and you'll find yourself drifting away into the cloud... - Bad points:

- Optimised for the Internet and cloud -based computing. This is the way forward and expensive Apple NoteBooks and unreliable WIndows machines are not outdated!
- Bad points:
- For documentation and not easy to find answers. For instance, I still cannot sync my favourite tabs across machines.

- Good points:
- Very light and easy to use. Virtually instant on is a great feature. Ideal for home use when you otherwise would struggle to get on the main desktop PC due to constant teanager demand.
- Bad points:
- Something new, compared with a PC, to learn about. Other than that it is very good. Not sure the extra cost of the 3G version is justified if is is intended for home use. Therefore I would advise the non 3G version which is a good bit cheaper.
