Another beautiful radio. Beautifully designed and a big sound for a small box. It receives stations better than older DAB radios I have when placed in exactly the same position.
-
That it takes AA batteries is a big selling point. DON'T EVEN THINK of using alkalines though, it will eat them alive. Buy the best quality and highest power-rated battery you can afford. We use Ansmann 2700 ni-mh rechargeables, and the play time is acceptable.

Clean & attractive design; good reception & reproduction on digital & FM; easy to use. The rechargable battery function is great. Goods points easily outweigh the bad.
-
The on-off switch is vulnerable to accidental operation (especially if packed for travel).
Only five pre-set buttons seems limited given the number of stations available.
A sleep function (after an hour, say) would be a good addition.
A battery charge indication woul be useful.
An input for an MP3 player would be great.

Simplicity of use. Looks like a conventional radio rather (the earlier ones that seemed to think it was a good idea to mak DAB's distinctive by adopting thedesign standards of do-it youself radio kits of the 1950). We already had one and we bought a second for my 85 yr old mother-in-law, who is registered blind and has reduced sensation in her hands! We showed it to her on a visit and show wanted one straight away.
The easy to use charging batteries is also a feature that should be much more widespread.
-
Advertised as 10 presets, well so there are 5 DAB and 5 VHF. With the number of channels availble it not enough. I first assumeed ot would be 10 of each!
I want to store Classic "FM",BBC's 2 3 4 5 6 7 and World Service and BBC Local and Commercial local.
So I want a least 10 presets on both DAB and FM.

The built in battery charger is the best part of this radio, it allows you to charge a normal set of rechargeable batteries, without the need to remove the batteries or have a separate charger. Buy a set of 2500's or more and the set will last for around 2 to 3 days on a full charge.
