+ Sound quality and volume; neat size - fits a lot in a small box; reception of DAB and FM; clear back-lt display with 3 brightness levels. Does everything very capably and fits easily on a shelf.

- Controls are either not easy to read or small and a bit fiddly, but you soon get used to them; presets are not one click access - you have to scroll through; would have preferred telescopic aerial rather than a wire; cd a bit slow to read the disc and it won't start until it has done this and you press play; external transformer spoils the neat look of the player if you can't hide it away anywhere. But none of this spoils the pleasure of the great sound in a small box

+ Excellent compact design etc, perfect to have around and for such a small unit the sound quality is very good.

- It would be helpful to have a strap carrying handle as, although technically not a portable, it is so compact it is easy to take to whichever room one is in. So a form of hinged handle would be good.

+ It is a neat well designed product and appears to have a lot of desirable features which I probably wont make
use of as I purchased this solely as a bedroom extra in the event of my becoming bed ridden

- The written instructions are a little confusing for people (like myself) who are not accustomed to hi technical
language I still havent got my alarm set

- not easily understood instructions, not good sound reproduction a bit tinny, not meant for the non-technophobe like myself preffered my old phillips now not available

- For older people the buttons etc could be a little easier to handle
