Pure Chronos CD Reviews: DAB and FM

+ I use it as a bedside alarm so i like the fact that it has more than one alarm setting. Sound quality is good enough for me. Because its ecoplus, I like the fact im doing my bit for the environment too.

- Took a bit of working out, but thats probably just me.

+ Great sound, looks great.

- Setting the alarm is a bit fiddly- lots of buttons, lots of options. Great if you wake up the same time each day, but otherwise, have to go through it every time.

+ Nice compact design...but a bit difficult to set up initially. Still can't find out how to set the alarm to come on?

- Hard to understand instructions

+ instant set up (time etc) nice sound, cool little remote control.

- initially working out the menu system a bit tricky, very light unit vibrates at loud volume (unless on solid surface.)

+ Like the overall look of the unit - gives me just what I need from a radio/CD player in the kitchen.

- If asked to be really picky I would say that I was a little surprised that the shape doesn't allow the unit to sit right back into a 90 degree corner but it still looks better than a "flat" one.

+ Compact for use in a small kitchen and easy to switch from radio to CD player.

- Nothing much at all, auto tuning was not always as straightforward as we might have liked but that could well be due to the DAB reception in this area which is not really very good.

- sound a bit bright for me maybe if it would be possible on such a small unit maybe more bass.

Display - not too bright at night.
Low power use - green.

- Not enough oomph with the volume esp the bass.
Power on/ off button needs to be on the top rather than on the side.
Could do with a USB port for MP3 players.

- Can be a little poor at DAB reception, got to play with the aerial, but once tuned, seems ok.

+ As it was a birthday present for our daughter we are only just getting to know it but the sound quality is excellent and a fab design.

- As yet we have yet to discover how to adjust the clock brightness so we can see it during th day - jus a learning curve I think!
