Playstation 3 60GB console

+ 1080p output

- Not backwards compatible with PS2 games and not likely to ever get updates to enable backwards compatibility. Pay the extra and but the 60Gb which you can play SOME PS2 games on.
Retailers never seem to make this very important negative detail known clearly.

+ my son thinks it better than the ps2 for grathics and wireless internet connection,which means he can access the the net upstairs to play his games and what ever else it does without being interrupted.

- ps2 games are not good to play on the ps3,there some glitch with using the ps2 games on the ps3,so he still got his ps2 for his old games.

+ Fantastic looking machine, but also delivers stunning graphics especially when it's linked to my Sony HD LCDtv, and it was easy to set up. I have not fully used all of it's aplications so can't give it 10/10 but it's well deserving of my 9/10.

+ Easy to set up. Online content excellent for online gaming and downloading free game demos before deciding whether to purchase the game (Stopped me from making a few mistakes). Good integration with PSP.

- Range of games is small but this has and will improve over time. Similar to the PSP when that originally came out, now there are thousands of games for it. Media centre integration needs a bit of work but at least its got it

- Very expensive as a games machine a purchase not to be taken lightly as a new machine is always just around the corner. Also little mention of anti virus or suseptabilty to viral infection

+ It's an awesome console that can do more than you can possibly imagine. The graphics are amazing and the design is sleek and stylish.

- It's over priced at the moment, but it will come down in price. There aren't many games available for it either and they are incredibly expensive.

+ Stylish looking console, much quieter than the Xbox360 ( I own one as well ) I was impressed at how good the DVD/Blu-ray player upscales the disks. People argue that the Xbox360 has more games, fair enough, but we'll see about 35 new titles arriving in November 07.
