+ This toy has been an absolute hit with our daughter - who wanted one after playing with something similar at nursery. It has so many features, and is certainly worth the money. A well designed and interesting toy.

- Make sure you allow a good couple of hours or more to build it, have patience, it's worth it.

+ Well made and well designed, sturdy despite being made of plastic. The level of detail and functionality is impressive.

- It comes as a box of parts and is really a substantial constructional project! The box says that an adult would need about an hour and a half to put it together, but I think that's a bit optimistic. Anybody not comfortable with putting together flat-pack furniture should avoid.

+ Amazing detail and features including the ability to hide the cannons and pretend not to be a pirate ship. Overall my 5 yr old loves it.

- Needs patience and an adult to put it together initially. Lots of small pieces so be careful if you have a younger child as well.

+ this is a fantasic toy that has been designed brilliantly and built to last. we bought it for our 5yr old son who followed the instructions and built it by himself in about 6 hours - so was a great babysitter for me. There are alot of small peices (that can/will get lost during play) so is not suitable if younger siblings are around. We built the ship but decided to take the sails off as its easier to play with without them on as they get in the way of serious play.there are alot of moving parts including 4 firing canaons which all the boys love. We are very happy with this buy (and it made all other xmas presents look feable) and highly recomend it - if you have a large space to store it.

- Some of the instructions were VERY hard to follow and there are too many small peices which get lost everytime the ship is played with. there is a cabin below deck with a door ontop - it is not easy to get into the cabin with not enough access to play in the cabin. there is no designated place to store the "Plank" so we got a seperate box to store all the loose peices. As mentioned above, the sails are so big that they are in the way (but we took them off and the ship still looks great)

+ Fantastic pirate ship. Looked at various pirate ships and this was definetly the best. It has so many features and the design is great. keeps my 4 year old amused for hours.

- some very small parts which can easily come apart, therefore dont buy for a child to "grow into" as definetly wouldnt recomend for any child below 3 / 4 years. Be aware with younger siblings too! we have a 1 year old who loves to explore it but has to be played with out of his way!

+ The ship has kept my 4 yr old son entertained for considerable time. The firing weapons have added a new dimension to his play albeit at the detriement of my personal wellbeing

- It take about 1 1/2 hours to put together, & that's with an engineer at hand!
