- Good points:
- Neat and compact design - works well in most respects. Great resume features.
- Bad points:
- HDMI->DVI badly supported. It seems as if HDCP is enabled on all resolutions above SDTV (i.e. 720/1080 lines) as there is no signal presented thata DVI device can locate. Pioneer have said that HDCP is not enabled, but other devices work fine when asked to do the same thing...

- Good points:
- Multiregion playback functions as advertised.
- Bad points:
-
Capacity for SACD playback was falsely advertised as inbuilt, when in fact it requires a compatible amp.
Picture upscaling does not appear brilliant, even on brand new DVD releases that have been remastered. The player also defaults to displaying in 576p, which completely defeats the point of having an upscaling player in the first place.
The player takes upwards of five seconds to warm up after the power button is pressed, and gives no indication of activity.
The ON/OFF and Eject buttons on the remote work only sporadically.
Overall: you can get an upscaling player as good as this one for one-third the cost in your local Asda.
