It doesn't really work! The pulp was so wet, I probably got the same amount of liquid again by squeezing it manually through a cloth.
The machine is designed so that a lot of the pulp just gets thrown straight into the container. The grater / filter seemed to be rather dented after juicing around 10 apples, which I had quartered first.
Overall, just doesn't make nearly enough juice from the fruit. I sent it back.
