PHILIPS GC9040/02 Iron Reviews: Steam Iron

+ Top quality iron, I would highly recommend to anyone who wants perfection with easy of use.

- A bit pricey, but still value for money!

+ very easy to use, makes ironing for long periods less of a chore and more of a pleasure
shape of the plate makes ironing those small awkward areas much easier to do a neater job
very good overall performance

- initially the angle of the handle felt awkward but peseverance will make the user appreciative of this ergonomic design

+ For someone who hates ironing -this makes ironing so easy - I had to use an ordinary steam iron when I recently was away and I couldn't get creases out and everything took so much longer to do. I wish I could take my iron with me!

+ I can't find anything wrong with the Philips. Cotton shirts that were a pain to iron & keep crease free are no longer a problem. It's possible to iron the whole week's work shirts in about 10 minutes. I used to hate ironing & got fed up with having to re-iron shirts due to the poor results from my old iron.

- The only bad point is the price. However you do get what you pay for.
