- Good points:

This iron is truly ergonomic; the handle measures four inches in diameter - perfect.
Every control is easy to use - within reach, making for efficient ironing.
The lead is a good length. The blue colour of the iron is easy on the eye and even matches the ironing cover.
The action is smooth and the steam feature does the job required.
All in all - just what I was hoping for in a new Philips iron. - Bad points:
-
Not sure about the position of the water filler cap. It seems too close to the top of a hot iron. Might be better if it opened the other way.
I await to see how well it self-cleans.

- Good points:

light and easy to use. I have a weak wrist and this iron makes ironing a pleasure (well, almost!) rather than a chore.
good shot of steam - Bad points:
-
small soleplate - this is only a problem for pressing rather than ironing. I use iron-on interfacing for my craft projects and if it's a large piece it takes ages to cover the whole area.
the dial is slightly fiddly to turn - this is a minor point, though
