Good points:: Image quality above average, easy to use, easy to adjust to your own values, easy menus, good flash photography, light to carry, good ergonomics, handles pretty well.
Bad points:: Battery, doesn't last long, need to carry a spare! Cannot recharge in the car like a normal Mp3. Zoom on the video doesn't give a clear picture. No visor! Difficult to see clearly on the rear screen with bright sunny days

Good points:: Anti shake works very well even when zoomed to max (optical & digital).
Feels robust, easy single hand use, buttons all in the best places, smile & face detect are great.
Microscope mode is very impressive.
It's tough - crush proof to 100KG, waterproof to 33ft, dropproof to 5ft, coldproof, dustproof, etc
Bad points:: 2 others (olympus tg810 & panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3) can be picked up slightly cheaper and are equivalent in ability and are slightly smaller in the hand - a matter of preference though - I'd still pick the Pentax.
