+ excellent that it gives bbc hd and some itv hd for free as long as you have a dish ,built in freesat tuner,I now use it for a pc monitor as well,the whole tv can be swivelled from left to right easily with two fingers,this tv does every thing

- the black shiny plastic surround tends to attract dust on a daily basis,panasonic supply a duster to clean it and it does work but its not nice to the touch

+ ease of installation, sound and picture are great, epg is well designed

- freesat channels are mostly shopping and gambling, timer doesn't switch tv on, documentation is not detailed enough

+ Superb picture in HD without an extra box as HD is integral to the TV. It is also a good looking TV. Simple to instal - the TV did it all, great for any technophobes.

+ Set up is relatively simple and the remote is clear and functional.
Having a built in free sat receiver is a huge bonus and as soon as there is sufficient output from the broadcasters this will a major advantage.
Modern design with smooth unobtrusive appearance.

- The piano black frame tends to collect dust which is why it comes supplied with a cloth!
Anyone who has a fear for technology may find the set up a little daunting to start given the wealth of functions.
Like most sets designed for HD reception, non digital and auxhilary input is not displayed to its best.

- Trawling through the freesat list of programmes seems endless.

+ Picture quality, Appearance, Ease of setup, Ease of access to connections on rear of set.

- Poor design of remote control, lay out of buttons could be better, not comfortable in hand. Some items in Manual not very clear in explanation, for example how to record and how to Play back recorded programmes.

+ Very clear picture, particularly on HD. Very pure sound.

- Not as bright as I would like. It seems dull when first turned on but gets brighter. However, I have had to turn to Dynamic quality and increase the contrast to full to get sufficient brightness. Would have liked more flexibility with contrast and brightness. It may be that a stronger signal would help. I am in a fringe area.

- Doesn't appear ro be an option to use a card for subscription channels. Means I still have to keep my set top box!
