Excellent quality product with a fantastic picture and good sound. Have now taken the plunge for HD and the picture is superb.
Having looked round for two months and read several reviews the Panasonic appeared to top the league.

reasonable picture
check out the white background on this tv compared to other plasma screens it is dissapointing.
overall good loking tv but there are better models out there for less money and a better overall picture.
- whites as explained are not as good as some cheaper models which gives a better hd picture if you have a whiter background.

Score 9.0/10+ Great TV for the price, easy to use and very stylish. Support for SD memory card is very useful too.
- I watch all my TV via Sky on AV2, would be good if the TV automatically changed to AV2 when switched on, when AV1 has no signal.

Score 9.0/10+ A great high def plasma, great picture quality especially for the price and a good size too. Lots of little features ive yet to play with yet such as hooking up an ethernet. Would highly reccomend.
- The speakers on the TV are a problem with any bass thats played becomes very heaviy distorted. That said if you're buying a TV these days you're almost always going to have a cinema system hooked up so its not an issue. If you're considering this compared to, like me and LED one i would say this all the way as you're getting a lot more for you're money, unless you're more eco focused then LED is more for you (there is an eco fucntion however altho dont know how efficent it is). Regarding Free Sat i was a little bit dissapointed. There are very few channles actually in high def at the mo which I thought was kinda the point but normal quality still looks good, just not anything you can show off about to you're mates

Expert reviews for Panasonic TX-P46G10
TechRadar expert review
Conventional wisdom ‚Äì of the pro-LCD persuasion, at any rate ‚Äì holds that plasma requires far more power than liquid crystal. Panasonic is out to contradict this theory with its latest generation of NeoPDP gas flatscreens with the introduction of the TX-P46G10. The manufacturer has taken a 'year zero' approach with its new panels, developing new structural techniques and control systems, new phosphors, new drive systems, and new cell designs with enhanced discharge efficiency. All these factors result in a huge claimed power saving of 50 per cent versus the company's conventional s…

TV Buyers GuideManufacturer's Description
New Generation Full HD Plasma TV with freesat built-in, Superb Moving Picture Quality and Advanced Networking Capabilities
“freesat” is a digital satellite service that offers free HD (High-definition) TV programmes. With the G10 series, you can enjoy sharp pictures, vivid colours, multi-channel sound, and various services with the interactive contents.
600-Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data, then optimises the sub-field to display fast-action scenes in full-HD resolution. And each frame is displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.
VIERA incorporate an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. When you’re watching movies, VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark.
VIERA Link allows interconnected operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable. VIERA Link performance has been further enhanced with LUMIX digital camera connection. By connecting a new LUMIX camera that has an HDMI output terminal to VIERA, you can use the VIERA remote to control the playback of images stored on the camera.
It’s easy to view full-HD images with the SD Memory Card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects.
V-Audio Surround gives depth-sound-image effect by early-reflection data based on actual room measurement, that is generated from digital signal processor.
