Score 9.0/10

+ Stunning picture quality with very natural colour. HD is fabulous, its like looking out of your window so pure is the picture. Remote control is easy to use with good clear markings on the buttons. Good looking TV although I would have preferred silver surrounds as this blends into the room easier.

- There are no bad points but a touch more "presence" in the sound and could we have a choice of colour i.e. Black or Silver.

+ The image is far superior to the Panasonic LCD I replaced. The colours and sharpness are far superior.

- Slight problem with writing scrolling across the bottom of the screen on certain channels, whereby the words don't appear as sharp as they should.

Niel, Bargoed , “Multi-purpose viewer”

Score 9.0/10

+ Very good picture through standard sky set up. Freesat is easy to set up yourself but only has one HD channel(BBC HD). Awesome for gaming and watching films.

- The sound only has 2 channels to choose from - music or speech - could have had pre-sets for cinema. some times when watching films the music seems a lot louder than the talking.

Richard, Wakefield , “Multi-purpose viewer”

Score 10.0/10

+ As a bit of a technochump, I found this very easy to install. The picture quality is as good as I've sen anywhere. Sounds pretty good too, although I haven't really got anything to compare with here. Still makes me feel good when I walk into the lounge! Football and wildlife on HD is very impressive.

- Not really a bad point about the telly, but the viewing experience. The picture quality is so good, it shows up every imperfection in the signal, so if you've been watching Freesat HD, then switch to DVB you have to get used to the deterioration.

+ My Panasonic television far exceeded my expectations in every aspect but in particular the dynamic contrast ratio of 40000:1 gives a picture of outstanding quality that I consider is equal to those obtained on HD through my satellite dish.

+ Too many good points to list.
600hz picture quality is fantastic and a major factor, also the varied connections that are easy to access on side and back.

- Having to keep selecting FAVOURITES1 in tv guide. its default is ALL CHANNELS.
(having said that, it is probably because i switch the tv off and not put it in standby).

TV Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

Full-HD NeoPDP Models with freesat built-in, Superb Moving Picture Quality and Advanced Networking Capabilities

“freesat” is a digital satellite service that offers free HD (High-definition) TV programmes. With the G10 series, you can enjoy sharp pictures, vivid colours, multi-channel sound, and various services with the interactive contents.

600-Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data, then optimises the sub-field to display fast-action scenes in full-HD resolution. And each frame is displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.

VIERA incorporate an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. When you’re watching movies, VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark.

VIERA Link allows interconnected operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable. VIERA Link performance has been further enhanced with LUMIX digital camera connection. By connecting a new LUMIX camera that has an HDMI output terminal to VIERA, you can use the VIERA remote to control the playback of images stored on the camera.

It’s easy to view full-HD images with the SD Memory Card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects.

V-Audio Surround gives depth-sound-image effect by early-reflection data based on actual room measurement, that is generated from digital signal processor.
