+ overall good all rounded tv, picture quality is amazing, nice deep blacks, very easy to set up and some nice menu features, well designed remote with everything in the right place and not cluttered

- only bad point i have come across is the frame shows up dust and fingerprints easily but you do get a nice little microfibre cloth with the telly to polish it with

+ Everything about this TV is positive. Had been concerned about going flat screen and the quality of moving images but things have moved on leaps and bounds.

- Attracts dust! Worst thing I could find to say.

+ Absolutely stunning picture, great motion, one of the best tvs for the money.

- sound by itself isnt too great, definitely benefits from an external speaker system, as is the case with most flat screen tvs.

Score 9.0/10

+ Performance for the money is outstanding (£780). Motion is incredibly smooth and aside from a slight issue with the colour control, the picture is a joy to see. I was suprised to see that this looked better than my old expensive CRT.

- The 4 picture modes are only accessable via a couple of menu's rather than a single button on the remote control. There is very little conrol over the colour balance (this seems to be governed by the mode). Also the normalise button is perilously close to the menu button!

TV Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

Full-HD NeoPDP Models with freesat built-in, Superb Moving Picture Quality and Advanced Networking Capabilities

“freesat” is a digital satellite service that offers free HD (High-definition) TV programmes. With the G10 series, you can enjoy sharp pictures, vivid colours, multi-channel sound, and various services with the interactive contents.

600-Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data, then optimises the sub-field to display fast-action scenes in full-HD resolution. And each frame is displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.

VIERA incorporate an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. When you’re watching movies, VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark.

VIERA Link allows interconnected operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable. VIERA Link performance has been further enhanced with LUMIX digital camera connection. By connecting a new LUMIX camera that has an HDMI output terminal to VIERA, you can use the VIERA remote to control the playback of images stored on the camera.

It’s easy to view full-HD images with the SD Memory Card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects.

V-Audio Surround gives depth-sound-image effect by early-reflection data based on actual room measurement, that is generated from digital signal processor.
