Out of all the washing machines we viewed/reviewed (there was a lot!) this one scored well for kWh consumption and especially water usage (we are on a water meter so this was an important factor in our choice).
The cycle times were decent. The 50 min and the 15min quickwash is really handy.
It is a good, solid, well built machine. Drum is HUGE!! really great for getting your all your bedding done in one go!
Noise - it is so so quiet. I kept going through to utility room to check it was on as couldn't hear it through the kitchen or living room (even when spinning). Our old (indesit) was on it's last legs and could hear it spinning through 3 rooms and 3 closed doors and tv turned up!!!
It was more than we had wanted to spend on a washing machine so a bit pricey but I've learnt in past that you get what you pay for! so fingers crossed it lasts (hopefully) as long as my last one (7yrs!!)

Another user had mentioned a 30 min quickwash would be handy. I'd agree with that.
15 min is great for odd items (that aren't particurlarly dirty but needs refreshing and need it quickly) but for a more thorough wash would have to be at least 50min with this machine. I think a 30 would have been good to have. I used a 30 quite a lot with my previous machine.
other than that no bad points.

Quite, energy efficient. Easy to use
Cycle and water adjustment to save water and energy usage which is great for the ever increasing energy prices - Bad points:
-
It seems to alter the cycle time half way through a wash
Unsure why this occurs, however this is still a very good washer

- Good points:
- its very quiet on a high spin speed that's the only good point of it.5 year free part and labor guarantee .
- Bad points:
- the programs are too long we only use 50 minute wash and most of the programs doesn't allow you to use 1600 spin speed and the worst part of this machine is the spin it does in the middle of every program you choose the drum spin in a very funny way the whole machine rattles and shakes even i have spend hours to balance it right and it still does it and this can be very loud not good i have have always had BOSH i got this Panasonic thinking its gonna be better than BOSH but its not i would not recommend this washing machine to anyone and i would t buy it if it wouldn't if the 5 year warranty wast come with it.

- Good points:
- Very quiet ,takes a large load
- Bad points:
- 50 min wash takes at least 1h 10m,reason is when count down timer gets to 8 min to finish, and final spin about to start machine is unable to find a balanced load,it then takes approx 15 min to find a balanced load so as it can final spin, thus 1h 10m to do the 50m wash, also 15 min wash will only spin at 800,WHY design a 1600 machine and not be able to use the 1600 spin on the short wash cycle?

Washing Machines Buyers GuideManufacturer's Description
Thanks to their efficient inverter Motor the new G-Series Panasonic washing machines have a top energy rating of A+++. The big load capacity of 8 kg and the 34 cm large aperture make it easy to load and wash big volumes of clothes. The Panasonic Hydro active + technology consists in 5 point multi-directional showers coming from 5 directions which rapidly penetrate items and guarantee efficient washing and energy saving. In addition to that, the Perfect sense Technology detects precisely the amount of clothes to reduce waste of water and get the best washing results.
No matter the type of fabric of your clothes, Panasonic washing machines let you choose from a host of customised care programmes and options that deliver perfect results. The 3D Sensor Wash analyses the movement of the drum in its 3 dimensions, detecting the movement of the laundry in the machine and making adjustments to enable the laundry to tumble from the optimal position. The result is the best possible washing performance – whatever the wash
The new NA-168 VG3 proposes an Eco Speed mode: if you want to save some energy and water you can choose the Eco Mode, if you want to wash very fast you can choose the Speed mode . The new Panasonic NA-168VG3 has a lot of useful programmes like Delicates, Shirts, Sportswear, Skin-care, Outdoor, Quick 50, etc. which will make the washing easier for you. The new Sazanami drum cares for a gentle efficient wash.
Thanks to the inverter brushless motor the machine achieve 53 db only for washing and 71 dB for spinning.
The Child lock function keeps the door locked so it cannot be opened while the machine is running and it locks the buttons to prevent children from changing programmes.
