Its the little things that also matter. I mean, you buy a top of the range blu ray player with great picture and sound, you might expect the player to have a memory for the dvd's you watch and stop in the middle, watching something else then returning to the other dvd only to have to search where you were up to.

Superb picture quality with absolute image stability even with fast-moving scenes. Colours are vibrant, but not over-driven when playing into Panasonic 37px80 TV via HDMI lead. Looks good and is an acceptable size. Remote control is well designed and easy to use. Was thinking about buying a DMPBD10 - I'm glad I waited.

I bought the unit for three reasons, 1 It was to go with my Panasonic Plasma. 2. It had received good reviews regarding it's great overall performance and good value. And third I have bought many Panasonic items and always found reliable and good performers.

It is a bit lightweight in construction and very plasticky. But it is cheap as Blu-Ray players go though. That's it really.

Good stylish Bluray player with a Number of useful features. (Has a test that tests each of the surround sound speakers). Excellent picture. If you have a LCD TV you must get a bluray player puts normal CDs to shame.
-
Need to have more codes to program the remote controller to operate the TV and visa versa. Remote is not that clear as to the functions.
Had to purchase an amplifier to play through the surround sound speakers, if the player had an integrated amplifier the player would be the best!

Excellent slide show facility from SD card with correct scaling of all formats tried.

Navigation of menus of SD disks poor. Obvious buttons like menu don't work with SD discs, but non ideal workarounds are possible.
Some of the operations with the Disney disc (Ratatouille ) painfully slow compared with my HD-DVD player, which I believe is more a fault of the format.disc than the player.

This is undoubtedly the best thing since sliced bread. Everything about this DVD player is truly awesome, I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to decide on what BLU RAY DVD Player to buy. I buy STUFF magazine every month and this is their BEST HOT BUY recommendation (better than SONY) and this was after I'd bought the DVD Player (Good Choice). I also have a 37" Panasonic LCD 1080p TV and I use the same remote for both TV and DVD. Overall, an awe-inspiring experience that shouldn't be missed....

Expert reviews for Panasonic DMP-BD30
TechRadar expert review
Perhaps one of the biggest surprises about Blu-ray beating HD DVD in the format war was that it came to the market unÔ¨Ånished. While every HD DVD deck that Toshiba released was able to maximise the interactive potential of the format, Blu-ray took longer to get its act together. Unique to Blu-ray, the BONUSVIEW adds a new feature such as Picture-in-Picture and Audio Mixing. As you watch a movie, for example, the director can appear in a small window and give you the inside scoop on what’s happening.
