Good points:: Great camera for all instances, whether skiing (rated to extremely cold temperatures, when we were skiing other people's cameras wouldn't work because it was so cold), free diving or just general snaps, all work well with this camera. Image quality is amazing IF you know how to work all the settings.
Bad points:: Menu's can be a bit fiddly, but nothing that a good bit of practice can eliminate.

Good points:: Waterproof! I work with boats and sail as well so it's great to not have to worry about splashing the camera. Shockproof is useful too as I keep trashing cameras!
Bad points:: Its a bit bigger than ordinary cameras; not really a complaint as I need the good features.

SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
