+ It's very easy to use! For me as a relative beginner it was very easy to learn all the features logically and systematically. It has a great display, and all the features are just really user-friendly and make you enjoy using it.

- I didn't realise when I bought it that I was going to have to buy either a) new unrechargeable batteries every time I used it or b) an expensive rechargeable battery to avoid scenario (a). Also, the picture quality is sometimes quite poor, especially when shooting in low light. But that could also be down to my inexperience...

+ the feels comfortable in the hands,good build quality,the controls are easy to use and understand,and has all the photographic options i will ever need

- i think the viewfinder is a bit small,the viewfinder information in my opinion would have been better along the bottom, instead of down the right hand side,and at present there is'nt a lot of retail outlets selling accessories and limited second hand lenses available

+ Easy to use - good array of pre-programmed modes. Very good preview screen

+ The camera is well made, robust and comfortable to hold. Even with my large (fat) fingers, I found the buttons and menu's easy to use.

- The auto focus could be a little sharper, but the only real down side was that the package didn't come with a re-chargable battery and charger.

+ It is a long time since I used SLR format and being mid winter difficult to judge
