This phone has 8 GB internal mermory, but I've had problems with it. It keeps coming up with messages to say my memory is full. I'm currently on my third handset due to a number of problems.

the sound quality is brilliant, there's no crackling when you turn up the volume and the amount of songs it holds is better than some mp3 players on the market
-
the camera isn't that great, some pictures come out quite fuzzy and the main screen is a bit messy, there's lots of unnecessary icons on there that i have tried to hide and cannot get off.

The sound quality and large 8Mb memory are some very good features on the phone. Also i particularly like the media applications on the phone and the way they scroll through.

The phone is fairly big but having said this it is solid and only a bit bigger than my last phone. the menu set up is fairly complicated as far as phones go but once you find your way around it its not too bad. All in all there arnt very many bad points about the phone.

As an upgrade from the N80, the N81 shines in every way. Slimmer, better built, faster and better looking.

The only bad point is that it is only 2 mega pixel camera. A step down from the N81s 3 mega pixel.

It is very fast during web browsing, the radio and music station on it are both really good, overall just a well designed phone.

it turnes music from the music player on if you touch a button on the front of the phone, which sometimes is a pain but otherwise it is ok.

Looks good with a good colour screen. Reasonable quality camera. Large memory is goob but accessing it is cumbersome
-
Cluttered buttons, shakey build quality. Poor FM Radio. Abysmal PC interface (much worse than 6280). Poor internal file organisation not helpful for "drag and drop". Rubbish calcualtor & no lap timer. Music player need to be improved so accessability and ease of use improved. Rubbish headset bundled without microphone for hands-free - whats all that about? N series should be premier but lacks easy to use features of "lesser" models. Life Blog a waste of time and unable to turn off? Accessing gallery files etc is poor with images and video mixed together and not easy to browse "my content" without thumbnails.

Having always brought the cheepest PAYG mobile that I could find, I though it was time to treat myself to a decent phone, so in comparison to all my other mobiles this is the best! It's a got a good quality camera, and I'm pleased with the video fuction, plus with my home Wi-fi I can use the internet at almost broadband speeds, it's easy to use and looks pretty good too.
-
The only bad point is that the slide button that locks the phone often jams, meaning you have to use your nail to pick it free, that's a bit annoying but not the end of world, as far as build quality goes it does sort of creak a bit, it almost feels as if the plastic backing is not on properly (it is on properly). We'll see how it lasts anyway...

Holds loads of music and the sound quality is great! Phone looks nice, and is easy to use. Bluetooth connects via the stereo in my car which is quite cool! I have only had this phone for a short time, and I'm still getting used to it, but so far so good! Once you realise the menu button isn't in the middle like most Nokia's I've had before, it's very easy to use!
-
Heavier and bulkier than my last Nokia and when texting it can become a bit sore and uncomfortable on your wrist.

Expert reviews for Nokia N81
PC Advisor expert review - by Marie Brewis
The N81's fancy multimedia credentials, excellent connectivity options and well-designed search function will have you rushing out to buy one, but its tacky, plastic front slider, poor excuse for a camera and noticeable lack of a memory expansion slot could soon destroy your lust.
