Score 6.0/10+ Innovative design, excellent cameras and connectivity.
- Battery doesn't seem to last anywhere near as long as I would expect even with minimal use - not as yet made it 24 hours without battery low warning. Sometimes hangs or is slow when navigating around menus.

Score 1.0/10+ the phone has many great features and options
- it reboots every 25 seconds making the phone completely worthless

Score 8.0/10+ Easy to install applications. Fantastic WiFi connectivity. Generally nice features. Excellent screen (size/colour/brightnes/resolution). Nice keypad...once you get used to it. The 3 Mega pixel Camera takes pretty good pictures.
- Not many applications available for this new Symbian version 3 (Software is not compatible with v2 e.g. N70 or vice versa). Earlier Firmwares contained a lot of issues e.g. bluetooth, message and memory probs.. Get the latest Firmware available (Currently V4) and you should be ok. The sliding Mechanism is not too good and may open up to easilly if keept in your pocket. Battery life is probably amongst the worst compared to any mobile phone but perhaps N80 should be compared to a PDA instead of a phone?!...in which case it is just ok. Beware that the phone charger/adapter is of a different type than for the majority of Nokia phones i.e. not compatible with e.g. 6230i etc.

Score 10.0/10+ This is a seriously sorted little package. Its well worth spending time getting to know your way round the 'phone as there are a lot of features and a lot of menus. some of them aren't quite as logical as I'd like. For example there's a setting which changes the default connection method so that you can browse the internet using.
- Just a shame that the battery isn't that great. I have to put it on charge every other day

Video and image features are good
good music player
- very short battery life!!! It can't even last 24 hours even on stand by. Could hardly receive and send calls for the very poor signal almost everywhere. The network is equally poor in service. It would take ages before you could talk to a customer representative. Keys are to small for texting.

Score 9.0/10+ Once able to manouver around the handset became quite user friendly - having only purchased the handset recently need to spend a little more time getting to know each other!! first imperssions however are very good.
- Battery life, however due to the apecification I imagine is to be expected.

Display is excellent
quite easy to use
Loud speaker is actually loud, unlike some phones i've had.
-
Battery life is pathetic, it lasts a day, maybe a day and a half if you're lucky. It's constantly on charge so battery will need replacing a LOT sooner than with most phones.
Keeps locking up, especially when sending texts.
None of the orange data connections work, so unless i'm near my wireless network, it's useless for web browsing. email etc.

Expert reviews for Nokia N80
TechRadar expert review
When is a phone not a phone? When it's a 'multimedia computer', according to Nokia. The Finnish phone giant wants us to stop thinking of its products as telephones with gadgets attached, and start embracing a new wireless future. If that all sounds a bit high tech, you're right. The N80 is one of the most advanced 'devices formally known as phones' ever made. Starting with the traditional features, the N80 is a compact sliding handset that can work as either a normal 2G or a new 3G mobile. The 2.1-inch full colour screen is simply superb - sharp enough to support some rather tiny text…
