+ small, lightweight, very pretty and I love the radio feature

- the screen times out and goes black after 15 secs and I can't find out how to stop it! Not a problem until you are trying to play a game on it. If you don't press a key every 15 secs, it goes black grrr

+ Ok phone, solid build, lloks good

- Screen only stays lit with backlight for 8 seconds and this is factory set according to Nokia. This I find incredibly annoying when reading a text message or writing one andpausing during message.
Key pad is small, possibly too smal for male fingers.

+ it has a lot of the features from the n series. i like the extended word feature in the predictive text. i also love the fact you can put a birthday in a contact file & it comes up in the calender. there is no need to keep updating the firm wear every two months which results in loosing valuable data.

- the things i will miss is the saying name when a call comes in, the feature to be able to play slides & video through my tv & the voice recognition.

+ The features of the phone are just what I need. The compact, yet sharp screen has amazing resolution. The photos of my kids have never looked so good on a phone.

- The battery life is quite disappointing. It's the only negative thing about the handset.

+ It is a very nice slim design, very good for the internet and e-mail, easy to use and has more features than other more expensive model's

- The only fault i can find with this model is the battery life, it is not as good as other Nokia model's, i have another nokia and the battery life on that model is much better,

+ Almost everything is easy to use straight away! The camera is awesome in the light (but the flash is short distance obv.) Can drag songs straight from iTunes to the phones memory folder withough converting them! Looks absolutely beautiful. Charges battery in an hour and a half! Not too many side butttons, only buttons on the face so its nicer to hold and you dont worry about pressing any buttons in your pocket. The slide is really nice and feels solid.

- Micro USB is an extra cable when using headphones and is exceptionally annoying. The phone can't handle music videos even with a plain screen and just music, it stutters when playing. The battery seems to run down in a few days without doing much at all with it and with playing videos it can last about a few hours. If you want to take a photo of yourself the whole world can look at the screen as you do it but you can't see, so you may have to try a couple of times. When open, there is some flex in the front panel just above the numer keys which is a bit disconcerting for longevity.

- Battery life gets worse and worse with each Nokia phone. I had the 6500 Classic previously and I thought the battery on that was bad - this one is even worse!

Expert reviews for Nokia 6600 Slide

Pocket Lint expert review

A phone that's just a phone rather than a "multimedia computer". Now that is likely to be music to some readers ears. But is the promise of simplicity and ease of use really there? We get dialling with the Nokia 6600 slide to find out.Like previous models from Nokia in the past, the Nokia 6600 slide is the half brother/sister to the Nokia 6600 fold, and while they share the same name they are actually very different handsets - well sort of...

TechRadar expert review

When it comes to mobiles there are the haves and the have-nots. The Nokia 6600 Slide definitely belongs to the latter category ‚Äì but with its rather stunning looks, it doesn't really care. Not for the 6600 the likes of HSDPA and push email. No, this is a more simple beast that harks back to a time when phones fitted in your pocket and looking good was the name of the game. Super-sleek designShiny, black and with a flash of metallic blue around the D-pad, the 6600 Slide is one of those handsets you just love to roll around in your hand. Whether it's reassuringly heavy or unnecessarily…

Pocket Lint expert review

Nokia has had a strange time with its mobile phones in recent months. With R&D facilities that like to create the weird and wonderful, it was with great trepidation that we took a look at the 6660. To our surprise however, the phone is probably one of the nicer "leisure" phones Nokia produces. The first thing that strikes a chord is the size of the screen - almost two thirds of the entire phone handset...
