Judith, South Yorkshire , “Style and looks come first”

Score 10.0/10

+ Its a magnifiecnt phone, really singing and dancing. It takes some time to get used to all the gadgets that are installed(I'm still finding them). Sound quality is excellent when either talking or listening, I've been told that when I use it in the car the person I was talking to could not hear any background noise even though I was moving in traffic and the air con was on.The camera is good too, havent used the video facility yet. Music player is excellent too, really really glad that I got this phone after considering others. The four main contacts on screen facility is excellent enabling you to email, call or text without going into menu contacts. Fantastic phone I cannot say enough good things about it.

- Sometimes when switching it on the screen freezes and you have to remove the battery to get it going again. The screens not good in sunlight you cannot see anything on it.

+ The good points are that it is very stylish, lots of applications. and also very easy to use. the large screen is also a bonus and music is very clear.

- The worst things about this phone is the battery life, and also the camera i would of expected in a new phone the camera to be at least 5mp. on this phone it is only 3.2 and you can tell the quality is quite poor i knew when i purchased this phone that it was only 3.2 but i didnt realise that it would make as much difference as it does this is definatley not a phone for people who take photo's with it.

+ looks good, excellant sound quality and great when listening to music, memory is great ( i got memory stick included in the deal i chose) camera and video are average but still good quality.

- the battery life isn't as long as i would have liked but if i put my phone on charge during the night and take it off in the morning it lasts around 2 days before it loses power, however if i forget to charge it during the night it bearly lasts a few hours and with other phones when the battery goes down to 1 bar i usually get around 10 hours off the 1 bar. the nokia 5800 goes down so 1 bar literally as it's losing power. apart from this it is a great phone and i really enjoy using it.

TechRadar expert review

It's taken a while for Nokia to deliver its first post-iPhone touchscreen handset, but with the release of the 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia is now firmly in the touch control game. The first handset to be built on the latest touch-operated 5th Edition of Nokia's S60 smartphone platform, the 5800 XpressMusic packs some heavyweight feature punch. It may line up as Nokia's flagship music phone, but it has a set of functionality more akin to the Nseries high-end phone roster.Generous packageTouchscreen action is centred on its large 3.2-inch touch display, but under the bonnet the 5800…
