+ amazing to look at and easy to use. was worried i wouldnt get on with a fully touch screen phone but, once u have familiarised yourself with the phone and its features its incredibly easy to use. texting is easy and the music is fantastic with no distortion. the music even sounds good played through the internal speakers.

- may be my network but texts can sometimes take longer to be sent. the keypad and screen lock on the side of the phone can be temperamental when you need to use the phone. the music software display when you are playing music is very boring with no option to change screen colour, insert patterns etc.

+ Nice camera big screen, massive memory.

- Its a bit dificult to compose a text.

- the music player is not that good, if you listen to a song and stop it, then later go back in to your music list it plays from the begining again. The same with the playlists, if i am listening to a playlist and i want to see my other music it stops the playlist and you have to start it again. It is also a very big phone.

+ brilliant handset. I was worried about it being a touch screen, but it is so much more accurate than other devices. Very good!

- the nokia pc software is annoying, because i i upgraded to this instead of getting an iphone and the software is nowhere near as user friendly as apple's.

+ Very simple and stylish. It makes me feel like I've got something bigger and better than I actually have. Also I thing the feature where is says the name of the caller is just fantastic.

- There isn't much Original Nokia software out there for the phone because of how new it is. They should have had some decent apps ready for download before the launch. I know that in time this will be a mute point but based on this point in time.

+ Since learning how to use the phone i have found it to be very sinple to navigate through the options, how and where the best places for screen touvhing are and the definate fact of getting a screen guard.
Music quality from such a small device is very good. Use of the music player is very simple. Picture quality on videos can be amazing, depending on the quality of film.

- Not much to say here so far. As all small electronic devices are tempremental, the glitches on the odd occasion have not been a problem. The phone has frozen a couple of time, picks up finger presses invisibly! but thats about it

+ Easy to use, look's good and has clear sound. The app's are good and picture quality is very clear also. Internet browsing is also very good.

+ Stylish, easy to use, comprehensive range of functions and good "app" community. Cracking picture and sound too, in built speakers are pretty impressive for teh size of the device.

- Web navigation could be slicker, also don't like that most sites will show mobile version as default. Double clicking is slightly inconvient feature.

+ The best thing is, Listen to music,also watch videos, even a full film,its defently the best thing for me. i love the design, might you, I'm still learning how to use it, but i feel like a kid with a new toy. I love the Easy access to contacts, calls, texts, all of its features, is fab!

- I find that the info, about how to work it out is not enough, and also the CD with the software is not easy to understand, apart from the fact that if you use the program its self to read music, you can't used any other program like the i tunes, for example, because it wont let me.

+ Its very easy to use, the stylus is a good idea, the pictures from the camera are very clear and the sound quality is very good.

+ Looks and feels great. Was originally going to buy an iPhone, but after having a play on this I decided to opt for the 5800 instead. It has all the feautres of the iPhone and even more! camera is great and it just feels great to use. The only difference between this and the iPhone is that this dosen't look quite as good as the apple design.

- Battery life is about a day if you use all the features for a long time (GPS, WLAN, 3G). And it could look better if it was made from steel. But appart from that its great!

+ Brilliant for web browsing especially the bbc iplayer.

+ It's fairly esy to use, but I keep finding ways to use it that I wouldn't expect, that are quick ways of doing things. The music system is good, and I like most of the features.

- I think it needs more applications. Also, it seems difficult to put videos on it to watch. The handwriting function often doesn't recognise what I'm writing, even when I know I'm doing it correctly (a "K" for example, often come out as an "X", and vice versa).

- 1.When using headset or headphones to listen to music if you recieve an incoming call or SMS the music is played loud for 1-2 seconds and can be rather embarrasing or at inappropiate moments.
2.Sim Card hard to remove

+ Excellent phone, Top features in a very good value package, Easy to use especially as I have large hands/fingers, the included stylus is a godsend for accessing the phone heavily

+ Everythings good about this phone nokia has really come along with the touch screens! The pad is very sensertive and the icons are big enough for even my partner to press. The ringtone is very loud which is excellant because i could never hear my previous one when someone was ringing!

- I haven't got anything bad to say bout this phone apart from bettery life could be a bit better.

+ It is elegantly designed. It's made for music - it hits hard given the right headphones or a using the aux of a home theater system. It has a lot of input methods for text. The onscreen keyboard makes it easier and faster to enter text, just like on a PC. It easily recognize handwriting after it has been given samples, and errors are very very rare. On video playback, it's co clear that watching TV Shows or movie clips is a delight. Thw wifi is handy for connecting to wifi hotspots. It's packed with many profiles , with the offline profile needed for when mobile phones are to be off, thus allowiong usage of other device feature such as listening to music. The music software is top class with ability to add tags to music files. In fact it allows one to search online for the details of a music file including cover art and allows one to update the file. It's also easy to add music to the device.

- Battery perfomance is bad particularly if one plays videos. The other really bad thing is the screen which easily show fingerprints. The wifi seems to be programmed in such a way that when you try to connect to the web, the phone prefers to connect through the service provider. This defeats the purpose of having wifi on the phone if I still have to pay a a mobile service provider for internet access. I had to use the wifi in the offline mode to use my sky wireless router's Acess Point for internet.

+ Great for listening to all kinds of music, good bass sound. Easy to navigate with stylus.

- A bit tricky to use without stylus.

+ its a cool, easy to use phone.

- music synchronization is from windows media player, a problem when you use iTunes on your pc.

+ The picture quality is brilliant and the full size screen alows you to view your images to thier full potential and edit them as you wish. The contact options are good too, from adding someone to saving a number, to saving the people you mostly contact and having them on your home screen so you can quickly dial them.

- Although the touch screen is amazing it is a little annoying having to clean the screen all the time. There are also too many applications for internet, just one would be easier, as I feel i am not using everything on the phone although it all goes through the same process to get on-line.

+ This is the best phone I have ever had.....since purchasing this phone i have rcommended it to 2 people and as a result they have gone out and bought one themselves.

- No bad points with the phone at all but m 2 frieds who bought this phone after seeing mine got the speakers which attach to the phone....whereas I didnt!!!

I love it, the picture quality is great with the camera, all you really need in terms of megapixels. the video playback is very good. watching gavin and stacey was good, the screen is just so clear, and the desk stand comes in very handy on the train. Its a smart bit of kit and I really like it.

- Sometimes when scrolling through contacts or playlists, it can be difficult to get to the exact point that you want, and occasionallyit can be awkward trying to press hard enough to start scrolling, it seems not to respond sometimes. Also the keypad lock, ias a great idea and is very handy but can be annoying when the screen goes blank, and you think its locked and you keep using that switch til it comes on as it should.

+ The Nokia 5800 is an excellent phone. I am delighted with the quality of it - although I've never owned a Nokia which I did not like - and its numerous features. I am primarily a texter but have found that the MP3 player on the Nokia 5800 compares favourably with my previous, standalone MP3 players. The web application on this phone is also excellent.

- My only real gripe with the phone is that it does crash from time to time. Perhaps it's just me but I have to remove the back cover and take out the battery before restarting the phone once every couple of days. The S60 software is, more or less, what I'm used to so, once I got my head around the touch screen, I found this phone very easy to use.

+ The music storage is amazing and the inbox for messages very impressed!

- The battery doesn`t last long if listening to the mp3 and when answering phone if someones callin is a pain cause u have too slide lock to answer it by then someone may have rung off !

- comes with very little software. Gavin and Stacey 3GPs not a great drwa - deleted them within a day!
GPS functionality is wasted as no software to make use of it.

Loved the sat nav and needed it loads when in France recently,
For 3.2 Mpix camera the phots and vid clips where not too shabby, but I didn't get it for the camera.
Music features are great, love the built in speakers, who needs extension speakers or a dock.
love the apps, especially the free ones.

- Bad points, yes there are some, nothing is perfect.
Camera can be a bit touchy for eg, when going from sat nav to camera some times the camera doesn't initialise correctly and a message says to re boot the phone. Likewise, when going from video to stills and visa versa recently I had to re boot 4 times, 4! maybe it's just my phone.
Next is playback thru' the earphones, it could be a bit louder, I use my own ear bud types as earphones that come with mobile phones and other well known Mp3 devices don't seem to fit comfy in my human shaped ears, and the earphones that shipped with this phone where no different.
That said still not a bad phone, I've had worse.

+ camera & video are excellent, the storage on the phone for videos, pictures and songs is great-plenty of memory!
