+ In the 5-6 weeks that I have owned Wii Fit, it has become my personal trainer, motivating me to use it daily for exercise and work out routines. This has resulted in me losing a stone already, and the graph that builds up in your profile gives you the incentive to stick with it for long term goals. Battery life is amazing. It takes 4 AA batteries, and comes with a set in the box. I have used the board for almost 20 hours now and am still on the first set of batteries! Simply the best method of keeping fit and losing weight that I have ever encountered.
- Once you have unlocked all of the mini-games, it can get a bit repetitive, but as there is a leader table for each game, you still have the incentive to beat the top scores each time. Also there are many games in the pipeline that will make use of the Balance Boarde, so it is a peripheral that can be used in the future for more than just Wii Fit. No real bad points!

+ Good fun for not so serious fitness. Wii fit is for people who want to have some fun whilst participating in light muscle workouts, yoga, aerobic & balance games. You get from this as a fitness aid from what you put into it. Don't think it's suitable for younger children, more of an adult game. It brings out the competitive streak in you which makes it great entertainment when playing it with your partner.
- I don't believe anyone who is serious about their fitness & attends regular gym or fitness activities will gain anything other than fun when buying this. Could do with more aerobic & more balance games!

It is an excellent tool for fitness. Last month my husband had a knee operation and used the wii fit to get back into shape for an attempt at "The 3 Peaks".. climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scarfell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales all within a 24 hour period. He used it so effectively that his recovery time was halved and he completed the 3 Peaks last week with 25 minutes to spare!
Because it is very low impact it is perfect for people who have joint issues but still want to be fit.. and it's fun!!!
- Weight readings can be a little erratic.

+ fun, good value for money, you work out just as good as the gym so it saves you money!

purchased 02 May 2008
+ I've done at least an hour of exercise with WiiFit every day in the 38 days since WiiFit was delivered. The way it gives you feedback on your performance and keeps your scores gives me the incentive I need to keep going back to get more exercise (I haven't missed a day in four weeks). The use of the Miis is charming, too, and helps keep you entertained on a long jog.
- I wish there was an option to turn off some of the more repetitive messages since they take up time that I would rather spend exercising.

+ Excellent fun for fitness fun and laughter
- Family all want to use it
purchased 02 May 2008
+ This product is fantastic, great for all members of the family you and old. Great for gentle exercise, fun excercise and a good work out in the comfort of your own home, as a busy working mum i dont get chance to go to an exercise class, and doing the exercises with the family makes it fun. Would recommend to anyone.
- The only bad point i can find is that we fight for use of the Wiifit!
purchased 02 May 2008
+ You can exercise in your own home at your own pace. Good variety of exercises for all abilities. It makes exercise fun. It has a good personal touch even though its only a machine. Overall I feel it was an excellent buy and Iv'e only missed 2 days since Iv'e got it. So it must be good too keep me motivated. I got it with the intention of getting fitter, not losing weight as I don't need to but I have lost a couple of pounds over the last month ( only doing 30 -40mins a day) which I suppose as a woman is always a bonus!
- Can't really think of any. My son already had the consule so I only had to purchase the wii fit, if you havn't I suppose it could be a bit expensive for some.

Quick, easy to use, provides encouragement to keep using it.
Variety of tasks means it does not get boring.
The balance board itself is also bound to be used by other games so it is a very worthwhile purchase.
-
Easy to get dirty.
Quite hard on bare feet and hands when doing certain excercises.

+
Really works you hard, i have actually sweated! (nice)
Good Fun
Games build up in difficulty which is really good, you dont feel overworked too soon.
Easy to navigate.
The wii board guide encourages you rather than chatising you for not workin out everyday, its sweet really, does improve motivation.
- I dont feel there is enough of a range in games in aerobic section. Out of 9 activities, 2 are hula hoop, three running, 3 step and one boxing. there all really good, but i find myself struggling sometimes to decide what to do, and seem to do the same activities over and over ttryin to get a good level of aerobic workout (they do work tho)

- all my friends want to use it, all the time because they can't find any in the shops

+ Th eproduct is great fun and gets everyone in the family involved
- The only bad point is that youngsters (in my case a seven year old) is told what her weight is and this is not helpful and could lead to young children devoloping poor self esteem and worring about their weight.
purchased 04 May 2008
+ The Wii Fit encourages you to exercise in your home and is fun for all the family. My whole family enjoy using it.
- If young children use the Wii Fit, it allows you to set weight loss or gain targets regardless of age. I don't think this facilty should necessarily be available for people under 18.
purchased 06 May 2008
+ It is really good for Adults and children alike. It helps keep the family active in the comfort of your own home. Easy to set up and easy to use great fun for all. The more time you spend on it the more games/exercises you unlock so it does become adictive. You can set yourself goals of weightloss but it is not all about losing weight it is about good body allignment and strength.
- Some of the instructions from the Trainers do get a little repetative but you can forward through quite quickly. Best to warn any children who are over weight that it will tell them how over weight they are, but it also does tell you if you are an ideal weight which is encouraging them hopefully to get within that region without going to silly and losing too much weight!

I am not a sporty person , but I wanted to do more exercise.
On the whole I manage about 15 minutes of fun exercise every day , its not a chore , I do not have to go out to a gym ( which I would hate) I have great fun with it and benefit from exercise I probably would not do if I didn't have it
- None from my point of view

- Made my wii mii fat! (Was hilarious though!)
purchased 02 May 2008
+ innovative and fun
- slow to switch between users - it's not intended as a 'game' really, but is a fairly serious fitness system.
purchased 02 May 2008
+ Wii Fit is very fun and it doesn't feel like exercise at all. It's great that you can unlock new exercises, so the game keeps you going back for more. After all your yoga and muscle workouts, you can have a quick fun game to wind down. It's good to see your posture improve and the weight drop off!
- Quite Pricey, They should supply a yoga mat too, as there are some exercises that require you to lie on the floor - not ideal if you have a wooden floor! Some of the Yoga exercises require lots of practise and very good balance!
purchased 05 May 2008

Gets you active in the comfort of your own home (and not having to embarass yourself silly at the gym).
Easy to use. Stupidly cute! Like anything it's about being disciplined enough to get the most benefit from it, but it's a great start for those (like me) that are gym shy.
It won't replace any substance exercise regimen, but is a nice way to get active.
-
Tracking down the Wii Fit! These things are like gold dust. Do Nintendo do this on purpose?!
Some of the games/activities could stand to incorporate both upper body & lower body. At the time of writing, so far, I've only uncovered the rhythm boxing that's the closest to this. But don't let that put you off, it's still great value for money.
purchased 05 May 2008

+ It is a great game for the whole family and is great for keeping everybody fit instead of sitting in front of a games console just pushing a joypad.
- The only thing we didnt like is that it told our son who is only 9 years old that he was overweight after he had put 2 lb on - the week before he said his weight was ideal. This influenced our son greatly and he was quite upset that it told him at 5 stone 4 lb that he was overweight - that I dont agree with.

+ Encouraging seein the time you've been exercising growing as you do more exercises!
- I've done yoga before an there could be more guidance on some of the postures. E.g. on the tree posture it says to put your foot on the opposite thigh. But if you're not as flexible and fit it doesn't say don't rest your foot on the knee joint but instead lower down the leg instead and you can work on improving your flexibility over time and soon enough you'll manage to get your knee as far as the thigh. It should mention more in the yoga section tat the poses are something to aspire to and show easier versions. I know its not a ful yoga workout but a bit more info would be really helpful. More guidance too on the breathing as you're going through the poses as a reminder, and not just in the tutorial for a start and also reminders of how your posture should be e.g. reminders during pose to keep back straight (or whatever that pose requires).
purchased 25 Apr 2008
+ Great addition to the Wii. Allows for easy fitness workouts which are fun and do not involve leaving the comfort of my home and paying gym fees.
- Having to fight the rest of the family to get them off so I can use it!!!

+ Seems expensive for what it is but I'd read good reviews. They were right - the Wii fit board is easy to set up. Its been used by all the family every day for different reasons - health checks, fitness and fun. There are also good games that can be bought for the Wii Fit so can buy these in the future.

+ The Wiifit is a brilliant product - it is fun to use when with friends but I also use it on my own to exercise. Having a 'trainer' is a brilliant concept - I like the yoga and having someone talk you through it and encouraging you to hold the pose is a real help. None of my family particularly like exercise - but we are all happy to use the Wiifit. Would really recommend it.
- Cant think of any.

Easy to use, you can take the games and exercises at your own pace. Wii fit makes you more aware of your weight, bmi, centre of gravity and fitness levels and you can set your own targets if you want to lose weight.
The whole family can use it - my 5 year old is currently jogging around the park!
Good fun all round!

+ its fun and involving as well as an aid to incentivise some exercise in your life. Its not a replacement for actually getting out and about having a walks and trying to stay fit. Its colourful and the whole family can have ago even my youngsters who are 2 and 4 as well as Nan who is over 70. Other games like snowboarding and ski ing are available so we havent been bored on rainy afternoons at all since Christmas.
- It takes over the telly when youre playing you may forget that the one program a week you want to watch is on !!! Then youve missed it, but catch up tv is gradually solving that problem. Friends who come round have had a go and got one themselves so it really is catchy and a good inhibition breaker.

What is Wii Fit
Wii Fit is a combination of fitness and fun, designed for everyone, young and old. By playing Wii Fit a little every day, you, your friends, and your family can work towards personal goals of better health and fitness.
Wii Balance Board
The Wii Balance Board™ accessory was created from the ground up to work with Wii Fit. It’s an innovative peripheral for Wii that’s simple, fun, and it’s a great way to get you off of the couch and into the action. The Wii Balance Board is more than just a scale —it can read your real-life movements and bring them to life on screen, just like the Wii Remote™ controller. Realistically snowboard down a mountain or walk a tight rope—it’s just one more way to get into the game.
Charting Your Progress
Check your daily progress in Wii Fit with easy-to-understand charts and graphs. The orange line you see in the center of the graph represents your BMI the first time you checked it. From then on, it’s easy to tell how you’ve done since you started using Wii Fit. You can also set goals, check your Wii Fit Age, and even enter exercise time you’ve done outside of Wii Fit.
All About Balance
Your center of balance, the point between your left and right sides when you are standing upright, has a lot to do with your health. Those without an even center of balance will be unnaturally compensating for this imbalance, which causes their posture to become misaligned, increasing the possibility of putting unnecessary strain on their body. Wii Fit can help you learn more about your balance, and give you tips on how to improve it.
Trial Mode
Trial mode is available for anyone who wants to try out Wii Fit, without the commitment of creating a new profile. You can quickly determine a new user’s Wii Fit Age, or have them engage in one of 15 different fun exercises. Your friends can use Trial Mode if they want to try Wii Fit.
Wii Fit Channel
With Wii Fit, you can install a channel in the Wii Menu so that you can perform a Body Test and view your graph without having to insert the Wii Fit Game Disc. For example, if you happen to have the Wii Sports™ Game Disc in the Wii console, you can still check your weight via the Wii Fit Channel without switching games.
