Wii Fit (Includes Wii Balance Board) Reviews: Nintendo Wii Exercise game

+ As usual with Nintendo products, they are intuitive and creative. Its a new way of gaming. The wii fit is good fun and it works if your trying to loose weight if you use it correctly. The balance board can be used for other games. Once your looking good and fed up of wii fit the balance board doesnt become an ornament it moves on and becomes a snow board or a skateboard or whatever new games invent for the balance board.

- If you like multiplayer games that mean two people race at same time you need two balance boards or you have to use a normal controller or take turns about.

+ It's good exercise for all ages and nobody can see you making a fool of yourself.I am over 60 and when my grandaughter comes we have fun using it.

+ it is fantastic as it really encourages you to exercise and beat your previous score. It logs your time doing the exercises so you know when you have reached the magic 30 minutes! The balance games in particular are great fun to do. As you get better you unlock new moves etc to try.

- some of the muscle workouts can be very strenuous especially if you try them for the next time. I managed to tear a muscle at the top of my thigh and nearly passed out! I would recommend having someone present when you try some of these especially if you are particularly unfit.

+ I am very pleased with this product. It is fun and ejoyable and is already helping me to lose weight!

- The only bad point about this product is that I keep missing programmes on the TV as I can't get off it!

+ The whole family love it, so far it has provided hours of fun and we all get off our butts and enjoy it. Visited my mam and took it with us, they ordered one that night, 3 weeks later and they still use it every night. Its fun and like the fact that you have to use it to unlock new games. You work hard but don't notice as your having a laugh. We each took turns playing the same games and before we knew it had clocked up 45mins each.

+ I am a physiotherapist and think the Wii fit is brilliant. I never really got any benefit from yoga because there are so many ways to cheat without knowing it. The little dot on the screen is instant feedback and makes the exercises very challenging. A great bit of kit.

Easy to use and understand.
Great value for money as we use it quite a lot.

+ Good shape and well made, nice design and appears very responsive to any movement with no lag of any kind. You can replace the batteries with a rechergeable unit if you wish and this easy to fit and re-charge. As more and more software is produced this item is put to full use. I have tried snowboarding, ski jumping, downhill ski slalom and the disc that comes with the product has enough activities to keep you occupied day after day. The big benefit for me at the moment is losing weight and getting fitter - and enjoying doing it.

- Nothing noted so far - just make sure you have enough space available to do the activities without bumping the furniture.

+ Brilliant product. I can feel the difference after just one month of using Wii Fit (and Wii Sports Pack). I walk the dog twice a day but these games help me to exercise other parts of my body. A number of friends have been round for sessions and we have had great fun and a lot of laughs competing with each other. Everyone loves it and at least 2 friends are going to buy their own. New games are still 'unlocking' as proficiency increases and with different levels of games there are many combinations so I don't think I'll get bored for a very long time.

+ Very very pleased with it, bought it for my mother on mothers day, weird present but she loved it, and still does. It means she can do a workout without going to the gym and even while watching normal tv. :-D I have had many goes myself and there is lots of different exercises to do, being very lazy i stick to the balance exercises e.g. skiing however there is a good range. Please note, this is not just a game for children/young adults, my mums in her late 40's and she loves it!! Dads had a go too and he's 60+ :o). Enjoy.

+ I can't recommend the wii fit highly enough it's so different. Excellent and innovative product, Great for all the family, Very addictive, very challenging and puts the fun element back into excercising.....In fact it's so much fun you don't realise that you are actually doing an excercise regime!!!!!. Since using the wii fit I have become much fitter and have lost weight without even being on a diet!. A 10 star product and worth every penny.

+ Wii Fit is brilliant. I didn't know exercise could be so much fun! It gets everyone off the sofa and joining in. The games are good fun. It tracks your weight and BMI, so it encourages you to keep up the exercising and training.

+ Entertainment & fun for the whole family. Games/exercises do improve balance and co-ordination and regular use does improve fitness. Different levels of play are available according to ability.

- I'd like more aerobic exercises. Hopefully there will be a "Wii Fit 2" at a later date.
Don't particularly want to view my weight chart every time I log on - should be able to just play or exercise.
The last balance game to be unlocked (Zen) is awful. Probably just tagged on to fill up a space, but I'd rather watch paint dry!

+ Great design, no setup required.. it just works. Anything that gets you out of your seat has to be good for you! Decent lot of games to do with varying levels of difficulty.

- Only a few titles available for use with the board although you're only really buying it for this one alone. Game can be a bit "slow" sometimes having to go back to the menu to move activities.

- If you are of average fitness this board does not really give any benefits. I was expecting some workouts but the only ones are the aerobics - and they do not push you hard enough, too slow and short. If using any of the other features ie. yoga / muscle - is is too slow going selecting every pose/exercise individually.
