Easy to set up right out of the box and then off you go into the world of Wii and Wii Fit. Actively promotes family fun and fitness - watch out it becomes addictive.
-
It would have been nice to know earlier when setting it up that access to the Internet is required. If we had known that we wouldn't have set it up where we did and we have stuck the scanner bar to the TV stand - so we will need to buy an extension cable for the USB or try and rip the bar off the TV stand.

Gameplay is unique and the balance board which could be seen as a five minute wonder really makes the game(s) more fun to play. With Wii Fit you shouldn't take it too seriously as a fitness machine, but you do build up a sweat. With all the family involved it's great fun
-
The price of the extra controllers - for bundles such as this aimed at a family then there should be 4 remotes as standard.

I have a disabled daughter and her mobility is compromised, the Nintendo Wii is brilliant for getting her moving whereas ordinary excercise leaves her cold. The whole family can join in games with her giving her the chance to play on equal terms, she beats most of us at most of the games.

Can become a bit physical! We've smashed the ceiling lamp with an energetic overarm serve in the tennis game, plus we lost some baubles off the Christmas tree due to some over enthusiastic arm movements. We've learnt to clear the area before we start.

Create custom "Mii" characters to use and play within some games, you can also transfer these characters to your remote so you can take it to a friends house to use your character there. Kids love the console and my son is very active on it, say good bye to the zombie days of gaming where only your thumbs get any exercise and say hello to the active, full on gaming that the Wii will bring you. We have purchased other games but the kids keep going bad to playing Wii sports which comes free with the console.
The console also has a diary of all gaming times and what has been played so you can keep an eye on how much time your kids spend playing, with parental locks also added, this is by far the best family console on the market...Sony and Microsoft...take note!
-

the whole family can join in from my 2yr old to my mother-in law, all smilling and laughing at their efforts to keep everything on track, then being slowly replaced with the seriousness of just trying to have fun.
Part of the fun is the learning to use it, but that is soon replaced by sheer enjoyment of the games themsleves- excellent.
There is no replacement for outdoor play and fun- but on rainy days this is hard to beat.

It's agreat family entertainer, you games vary so there's lots of choice, it's a good form of exercise some of the games get your heart pumping, other's work your mind, then there's more just for fun.
