Peter and Mary, Dumfries “Two 59 year olds”
Score 10.0/10+ Easy to set up right out of the box and then off you go into the world of Wii and Wii Fit. Actively promotes family fun and fitness - watch out it becomes addictive.
- It would have been nice to know earlier when setting it up that access to the Internet is required. If we had known that we wouldn't have set it up where we did and we have stuck the scanner bar to the TV stand - so we will need to buy an extension cable for the USB or try and rip the bar off the TV stand.

Score 9.0/10+ Gameplay is unique and the balance board which could be seen as a five minute wonder really makes the game(s) more fun to play. With Wii Fit you shouldn't take it too seriously as a fitness machine, but you do build up a sweat. With all the family involved it's great fun
- The price of the extra controllers - for bundles such as this aimed at a family then there should be 4 remotes as standard.

Margaret, Liverpool “I'm a fiftysomething mum”
No score given+ I have a disabled daughter and her mobility is compromised, the Nintendo Wii is brilliant for getting her moving whereas ordinary excercise leaves her cold. The whole family can join in games with her giving her the chance to play on equal terms, she beats most of us at most of the games.
- None, just make sure that nothing is in your way when playing!

Score 10.0/10+ brilliant product would recommend to any family who are looking for a computer game everyone can joinin with and not just sit thereholding a hand controller. As for the WII fit board the whole family thought it was brilliant.
- cant really find any bad points

Janis, Orpington
Score 6.0/10+ My son uses the Wii although I've had my turn too. Its good fun to watch others play so there aren't really any arguments over taking turns.
- Can become a bit physical! We've smashed the ceiling lamp with an energetic overarm serve in the tennis game, plus we lost some baubles off the Christmas tree due to some over enthusiastic arm movements. We've learnt to clear the area before we start.

Score 10.0/10+ Fabulous fun for all ages.
- Wii fit - have to log in each time and can't compete against another person without doing the whole logging in thing.

Nikki, Ayrshire “Family mum”
Score 9.0/10+ It gets all the family involved and you get really competitive. It's great fun watching people doing things like the hula hooping and the ski jumping. It's really easy to use and to set up. It is value for money because of all the time we've spent on it already!
- It is quite expensive, as are the games for it but there really isn't a similar product.

Barbara, Birmingham “Previously overweight & couch”
Score 10.0/10+ It's the best thing I've purchased in years. I have lost 1stone since getting it with the help of a few dietry adjustments. Its very addictive, especially the sports & wii fit. All my family & friends love it too. I'd recommend it to familys as it brings them closer together and provides a good few hours of entertainment.
- I can't think of any

Expert reviews for Nintendo Wii
TechRadar expert review
For sheer playability, there's no console better than the Wii. Its former codename, Revolution, describes it superbly. The motion sensitive controllers are just that, and with the addition of extra controllers such as the Wii Fit Balance board, Nintendo is managing to take the concept outside the traditional realms of gaming. If you haven't played on a Wii, you won't quite know what it's like to experience. Not only are the motion sensitive controllers unbelievably responsive and easy-to-use, but it's at its best for family gaming where even grandparents can pick things up pretty quick…

Pocket Lint expert review
Not due in the UK until December, Pocket-lint was allowed an early sneak peak at Nintendo's next generation console offering - the Nintendo Wii. But does it stand a chance against the power of the PlayStation 3 or the online gaming capabilities of the Xbox 360? We get gaming to find out. Small, white and shiny, like Nintendo's other gaming console the Nintendo DS Lite, the Wii isn't about being the biggest on the block...
