- Perhaps they could do more to turn it into a basic PDA for adults and older children. It's a pity there doesn't seem to be a decent WRC rally game for it.

- sometimes the voice recognition on some of the games doesn't pick our voices up, but I'm not technical so whether thats to do with the games software or the DS i couldn't be sure?!

Some very cool 'homebrew' projects available- including ZX Spectrum emulators!

- No protection for Slot One (e.g. some kind of covering flap).
Poorly designed protection for Slot Two (a sort of removable wedge, sure to get lost).
No multimedia functionality (which won't matter to those with modern mobile phones).
Some gamers will struggle to find titles they enjoy.

+ I bought the DS Lite to play puzzle type games and it is absolutely excellent for that. It is light and easy to hold and the dual screens make playing the games easy, simple and enjoyable. There are plenty of games of all types available and the DS Lite also takes Game Boy Advance games. The touch screen and stylus are easy to use.
An excellent little console and I would certainly recommend it.

+ The DS is fab and the Nintendogs game is great - you have a wide choice of games available and they are all a lot of fun.

- It doesn' come with a case / screen protectors and with children both of these are certainly recommendable. There are some great deals out there for such goods.

+ wonderful array of games for all ages of people and for all degrees of gamer,from novice/first timer to hardcore gamers who need something to play on the move

- the guitar hero ds accessory is a bit awkward and does cause wrist-ache but only after an hour-plus of gameplay,it is recommended not to play for this long anyway by the manual but once you get a rhythm going it can be difficult to stop lol
