+ Small and compact camera easy to use on the large screen

- pain in the but if you loose the stylus pen supplied, why not finnger touch. Not an easy camera to use if u are older, in that advertised as easy, Also icons on the screen too busy, and too small for the older person.

+ good night time pics on sunset mode

- battery/memory card cover door constantly pops open at the slightest touch.
cant see the image that well on the lCD screen in daylight, the lack of optical view finder exacerbates problem.
tricky to navigate backwards and forwards from one scene function to another.
Scene icons on menu page not always self explanatory, unless you are using the camera on a very regular basis you would never remember what all the icons were for, by the time you seek an explanation the photo opportunity has usually passed.

+ Bought this for my 12 year old daughter on her birthday. Her first digital camera - she took to it like a duck to water and absolutely loves it. Very very easy to use. Fabulous, vibrant colour. Good images and lots of additional features that make this little gem a delight!

- We haven't found one yet!

+ Good image quality outside in daytime
BIG screen which gains up in low light
Many picture styles and effects including in camera editing
Small and pocketable

- Touch Sceen very inconsistent, needing the lightest touch for some actions but at times needing a very firm press. Not in the same class as a Tom Tom SatNav screen
Slow start up
Lengthy and noticeable shutterlag and shot to shot time
Flimsy zoom switch around shutter release felt thin and sharp and not very well made and could easily break.
Battery / SD card cover comes open when handling the camera
Digital image stabilisation ineffective

Manufacturer's Description

Elegant 10 megapixel camera with 3-inch LCD touch-screen, NIKKOR 3x zoom lens, handwritten memo and paint functions, Scene Auto Selector, high ISO, Quick Retouch and advanced portrait and anti-blur technologies.

* 3-inch LCD touch-screen with durable acrylic panel to protect the screen from scratches and an anti-reflection coating to enhance visibility in bright sunlight. * Touch-screen technology Simply touch the screen with your fingertips to scroll through images, or touch your subject on the screen to set the correct focus and exposure. * NIKKOR 3x zoom lens offers outstanding precision and sharp resolution. (35mm 135 film-format equivalent: 35-105mm.) * Handwritten memo and paint functions: write directly onto the screen with the supplied stylus, or personalize your images with colorful borders and stamps. * 4x anti-blur automatically counters blurred images in four different ways. Electronic VR (Vibration Reduction) reduces the effect of camera shake. High ISO (up to 2000) light sensitivity reduces the risk of blurred images with fast-moving subjects or in low-light. Motion detection compensates for subject movement. Best Shot Selector (BSS) automatically selects the sharpest of up to 10 sequential shots. * Scene Auto Selector selects the optimum Scene mode for popular photographic situations. * Smart portrait system: advanced automatic features for perfect portraits. Smile Mode takes the shot when your chosen subject smiles. Blink Proof shoots two pictures and saves the one where your subject’s eyes are open. * Quick Retouch lets you enhance images taken under poor conditions so they appear sharp and vibrant. The original image stays intact and the camera quickly creates a duplicate image with the best balance of contrast or saturation. * 10.0 megapixel resolution lets you capture outstandingly detailed images, crop creatively and produce stunningly sharp poster-size enlargements. * Advanced Face Priority AF with in-camera Red-eye Fix lets you quickly detect and focus accurately on up to 12 faces in the frame, and corrects false eye color due to flash the instant you take the shot. * 17 scene modes offer optimized settings for popular photographic styles, effects and locations. * D-lighting creates pleasing results by correcting strong shadows to rescue underexposed images, or shots taken with excessive backlight. * Movie recording with sound.
