+ Have always bought new world because I like the look and quality, very easy to use, only two buttons to think about so not technical.

- Not really bad points as such, oven is not self clean so the oven pride will be working overtime.

+ Good value for money but overall nowhere near as good as previous New World cooker in terms of functionality and quality of design.

- Appearance of control unit fascia does not convey high quality.
No programming features.
Shelving is not very practical.
Cannot have internal light switched on without the cooker on.

Built-in machines have a cabinet door attached to the front of them so that they look like the rest of your kitchen. Freestanding machines can be seen and the machine can be placed in any position in your kitchen.

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.
Self Cleaning	None
Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
