- Good points:
- I get an average of ~140 Mbps of the advertised 200 Mbps, but thats still easily enough for streaming video to a (living room) media PC, or for online HD console gaming. Easy to set up & use, and a vast improvement in speed & reliability upon wireless-g for internet browsing & data transfer.
- Bad points:
- Expensive, and dependent upon your PC's LAN Controller speed to realise full benefits (Gigabit LAN controller required). Performance is dependent upon your home wiring, and can vary with distance between adaptors / PC's. XCan coexist with, but is not interoperable with other Netgear Powerline models. No ethernet switch versions available for HD model. HDX103 / 104 (85 Mbps - can be mixed on the network) may be a more cost effective solution where you don't need the speed, available sockets are limited, or you have a number of devices in athe same location.
