Good points:: Large oven space, quite good choice of oven controls
Bad points:: Main criticism is that you have to restart oven every time you open the door, even for checking what's under the grill. After 8 months' use I still find this extremely annoying. My previous Neff combi oven also had a conventional oven facility, this one doesn't and as a result items like homemade pizza end up with too dry and hard biscuit-like bases. This oven isn't value for money as it's more of a microwave and there are lots of far cheaper choices available. The clock facility is useless as it doesn't keep accurate time - so best to keep it switched off

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Convection (or fan) ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction (convection or conventional) ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.

Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
