Very sleek and stylish design, works very well and re-directs very quickly if you don't take the right turn. nice advance warning of speed cameras. good battery life too, just basically does everything i'd expect it too and it does it well.

The sat nav is very easy to use, it finds your location really quickly especially compared to my last sat nav. I purposely went the wrong way a few times to see how quickly it would recalculate and I have to say it was very good. The sat nav is very stylish and easy on the eyes when driving. I recently drove 300 miles to Cornwall and I felt very confident and relaxed knowing that it would get me there. Highly recommended.
-
If you want this sat nav for the bluetooth, don't bother. It took me and my husband ages to get it to work and we completely forgot how to get there to do it again. The manual doesn't help either. We also tried my husband's phone but it wouldn't work either.
Whilst in Cornwall the sat nav thought I was in a field for about half an hour because a new road was built recently but I didn't expect it to be that up to date plus it was obvious from road signs where you were so you wouldn't get lost anyway.

I like the design and the large screen. I haven't had much chance to use it properly as yet, so it's difficult to say a lot about it but I prefered the Navman S50 than any of the other manufacturers models.
-
I think the bad points that I may have had is through my own fault in not remembering which button to press.

After trying it out first in areas that I know, I found it to be quite accurate but the directions given were not the most direct as I know them, yet it got me to my destination just the same.
-
When I programmed my sat nav to take me to my destination by the fastest route it took me through a lot of back streets , plus though areas where there are a lot of traffic lights and in my opinion it was maybe the shortest distance but not the fastest as I would have liked.

Clear screen and lightweight. Also the Bluetooth mobile phone connection feature is very handy and useful.
-
The width of the screen can seem oversized when placed in a hatchback. When you are speaking to someone on the phone via the Bluetooth connection, the person on the other line can barely hear you so you end up shouting.

Very simple and straightforward to use. Good, clear voice instructions, would highly recommend.

Occasionally the satnav will take a longer, unsuitable route rather than the quickest or simplest route and also when travelling on certain motorways it thinks that the speed limit is 30mph!

Ideal to use if on hoilday I went to Cornwall it was a great help to find all the tourist atractions. Scotland is my next destination. Will see how we get on there.
-
The first time I did use it. When I was away I put my denstination for home and it sent me all along the country lanes. which was infact quicker, but scary in the pitch black when you are not too sure where you are going.
Not really a bad point just worth mentioning

You have to connect the Satnav to the charging unit when displaying it in the car. It would be nice to be able to put it up in the car for a short journey without having the wire trailing to the cigarette lighter. Would be nice to be able to display more information when you have added a place as a favourite, eg along with place name, a telephone number and perhaps contact name.

Some locations not on the map yet, but have been in use for some time. Same with the camera alerts. Navman website says it could take up to 18 months to update, so don`t rely on your warning bleeps too much.

I am more than happy with my Navman. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy to use it is and with the features included in it. It's really easy to sync with the computer and telephone and the NavConnect feature is really handy. I also purchased the T2 traffic attachment which I highly recommend. I use it every day on my commute to work and I find it invaluable to avoid the inevitable rush hour traffic jams. I've used a TomTom before but I can honestly say that I prefer the Navman for ease of use, features and reliability.
-
If I was to pick holes in the Navman it would have to be with the hands free telephone function. It is really easy to use and once set up it automatically connects to your phone without hassle. The only problem with it, however, is that the microphone and speaker are not as good as they could be. You have to raise your voice to be heard and when driving on a motorway it can be quite hard to hear the other person due to the road noise. That said, however, this is only an add on feature to the Navman and so you wouldn't expect it to be perfect.

Blue tooth connection to my Nokia N95 was very easy and works a treat
-
Battery life on each charge. The unit start to give "low battery" warning after only about 60 mts of use.
Colours are not deep enough.
There is no button in the "keyboard" for putting in a "space" character while putting in Post Codes - the unit works out for itself but can mislead into frustration, until the whole of the post code is put in, which is then correctly spaced by the unit. E.g. While putting in TW18 1BA, the unit responds by first showing TW1 1 when only TW1 is put in. This led to aborting the entry to again with the same frustrating result. But if after putting in TW1, one continues to put in the rest of the code, 81BA, the unit automatically corrects to TW18 1BA.
The unit already had the camera information loaded in and VALIDATED. This was not clear from the enclosed information, which seemed to suggest contacting Navman to obtain validation. I had to contact Navman via email to get this information.
