- this is the third time i have bought this model within 3 years. the last one lasted me 8 months because there is a weakness in the design, the plastic piece that pushes down gentle to start the kettle boiling snapped off - inferior plastic. also whejn you fill the kettle if you dont hold it absolutely straight when putting back on the base the water spills out all over the place., i buy the same one because of the filter it uses.
