Excellent wash results, widest choice of programmes and other options (temperature, spin speed, water level, time delay etc) wide door opening, controls easy to read and input.

Cancelling a programme after start is not easy. I have twice selected the wrong programme in error and after pressing ‘start’ found it difficult or impossible to change the programme. Our Miele dishwasher in contrast has a very simple means of canceling programmes – provided that you do so immediately after stating the wash process. The value of using the high water level option is not explained in the instructions.

I find it very easy to use and the larger drum size is great. The honeycomb drum means clothes don't get stuck round the sides so I don't have to spin the drum to check everything is out or worry that a dark sock got left in the white cycle. I love my washing machine and don't think I would ever go back to a "cheap" machine.

The cycle times are long (although no longer than my previous machine) to use a shorter cycle you supposedly should have much weight which defeats the object of saving on energy.

Obvious quality, easy to read display with good range of washing cycle options. Extremely quiet and vibration free - although I did make sure that our laundry floor was reinforced with two sheets of 18mm ply before installing the washer. Isn't designed to sit under a worktop (because of the top mounted controls), but we managed it by letting it sit forward of the work surface a little.

Door hinges the opposite way from our old washer, so we now have both washer & drier doors hinge the same way, which makes transfer between the two a little trickier. Only the cotton program allows use of the maximum spin speed (1400) - most others run at 1200. I'm not convinced that's a problem, but my wife thinks it must mean the washing is alot wetter than it could be - we're goinmg to do some tests (how sad is that?)

Stability, noise (except drain pump), performance, large door opening, easy to clean dispenser, easy to operate from top-facing panel (great in laundry room, not so great if under counter), programmes mostly ok, beeper too quiet even when set to "loud".

Drain pump noise -- why so loud in such a quiet machine? Some options not always available. No "rinse" programme. Very very heavy machine -- get someone else to carry it in!

Very quiet and sturdy... the noise of the water is louder than the motor when it is washing! Settings are very easy to use and the display tells you everything you need to know. This model does stick out from the counter to enable access to the controls, but only by 7cm... not a problem if the machine is in a utility room. Miele are renowned for their long life, but it's too early to comment on this!

Liquid can only be used with a dispenser (not supplied with machine) that you place inside the drum. Need to go into the system settings to turn 'gentle' action on/off, which is a pain.

This is an easy to use machine... Our old machine was making such a din whenever we put it on that we were shocked as to how quiet this is. The tumble dryer we have was noisier.

We have had the run of the mill Hotpoint,& Bosch, washing machines but they last just about two years before they suffer major repair bills.
This machine ooooozes quality so I am hoping after two years I can boast its worth the money.
At least the manufacturer offers a 10 year warranty, would Hotpoint offer even half that time ....no.
This washing machine is so silent when working under load, even on spin it is amazing quiet it is.
I would definately reccomend this make to others contemplating the vast array of washing machines in the market place.

Gets good reviews, appears very well made, easy to use (intuitive), is remarkably quiet, actually washes the clothes and personally I think it looks quite classy in a refined sort of way.

Easy to use wash functions, variable spin speeds and temperature controls, delay timer, short wash function, express wash, quiet on spin, washes delicates (including wool suits and evening wear) beautifully and on a low spin hung to dry they are crease free. Slightly larger capacity than previous machine which is a bonus with 2 children. Only had for a few weeks and impressed so far.

VERY heavy but that's also a sign of quality, only one wash has maximum spin speed so if you want a higher spin you need to select that wash. However, that's because the wash programs are designed for each wash which includes, one supposes, the applicable spin speed the fabric's require. Machine has to be on for door to be opened but you get used to it and its a good safety feature with small children around.

Need to be aware that controls are on top of machine and therefore may be difficult to operate if under a worksurface. Also only cold water fill and cold water hose has an attachment so may be difficult to attach to cold tap if in confined space such as a cupboard.

Lots of different programs to suit your needs - The programs are a lot quicker than they were on my old machine, so should be more energy efficient. It washes well, quite spin whichever spinspeed you choose to use. I am really pleased with it. I also have a Miele fridge freezer, which is about 6 years old. Would definetly by the make again.

I love everything about this machine. It is a fabulous piece of kit. Good solid build, great looks, plenty of choice of programmes with the option to change temperature and spin on each cycle (though lower only than setting, not higher) There is also an express cycle of just 30 minutes. Clothes come out less creased but seem much more spun than my previous machine. I am very happy with this choice.

Yes, it's expensive compared to other machines and brands. However, I'd rather pay more for a longer lasting machine (this is guaranteed for parts & labour for 10 years) than contribute to the world's landfill and throwaway society by buying a cheaper machine which doesn't last. Both of my previous washing machines lasted only 4-5 years and then were not worth repairing.

Very high quality product. The short wash cycles are better than our old Hoover washing machines long cycles!
The build quality is apparent from top to bottom & it's very quiet. The top panel controls are easy to operate & view although they wouldn't work well if the machine was used flush in a fitted Kitchen situation. It's by far the best washing machine we've ever used & well worth the extra money!
