Good points:: Build quality.
Ease of installation, the vent pipe position can be left, right or rear, this is a feature that is not available on many machines.
It actually dries! I have an Indersit washer dryer that is next to useless a drying.
Bad points:: Not found any yet.

Good points:: We had an AEG for over 15 years in which the element finally gave out. This was in use constantly. Our friends bought a Miele and we were impressed by the quality of the machine. It was a definte decision to buy a more expensive machine and so far very pleased with performance. Effective drying of heavy towels and the sensor seems accurate. Obviously you need to put in laundry of similar material for it to be efficient. Like the large drum door and easy fluff removal. A quality product. Like the alarm. Never use the delay settings. Usually just put it on cottons and chuck the clothes in.
Bad points:: Was slightly noisier than I expected.

Vented dryers have a hose which transfers the waste, damp air out of the machine and through a hole in the wall or a window to the outside. They are less expensive than condenser machines but the hose means they need to be placed by an outside wall. Condenser machines collect the excess water within the machine which can then be emptied after use. They therefore do not need a hose and can be placed anywhere in the house.
