Micro Scalextric - Street Mayhem Set

+ Excellent Value for money and a good entry point scalextric for a young child. Three cars supplied and enough track to make an interesting figure of eight not just a circuit.

- If you have younger children who can't be gentle watchout as the cars and track need to be handled with care. Our 6 year old managed to break one car the first time the set was used.

+ Easy to assemble, reasonable flexibility of track layouts, 3 cars included so good for variety.. The cars stat on the track pretty well, my 4 year old is getting very quick!!!

+ Car magnets are really strong and cars are difficult to crash making it ideal for my young daughters. Quicker and easier to put up than a full size scalextric and can be played in the lounge without rearranging the furniture.

- Not much skill involved so best for young children although they can give you a good race.

- Thought by now scalextric would have improved. Still the same old awkward tracks to connect and same old connection from the car that has to be in line with the metal on track. Keeps not working frustrating for children who just want to play with item.

+ Fairly easy to assemble and get racing. Cars are tough with no small bits to get damged in the event of mishaps.

- It needs two power units so that when a car flies off the track the other car does not get a power surge; usually causing that to fly off as well.

+ Great fun and good quality (as you'd expect from Scalextric)

+ Easy to put together , out of the box and playing in 10 minutes , very fast little cars , my 3 year old loved it and is 40 year old dad too !!!

- Actual track is a bit limiting- no track counter for example.

+ Excellent fun for all the family. Good track size ... I would expect the smaller figure of 8 would be too small.

- Cars are a little fragile. Also the crash barriers don't stay on. Still good value.

- not a great purchase - cars get stuck and do not run smoothly on the tracks. very frustrating and very disappointed!
