- I really wanted the smartpen for the MyScript handwriting to text conversion, and although plenty of users give positive reviews, I'm afraid it fails to interpret my handwriting very well. I had hoped it would reduce the typing load I give to my PA, but its recognition is so poor it takes her less time to type my notes from scratch than to correct the MyScript conversion.

- Good points:
- Excellent for recording meetings, courses, 1-2-1's and general study. Records the sound and you can record notes on special pads. These can then be transferred to written form to your computer which provides a filing system and many means of sending to others. You can purchase OCR recognition software from them which converts it pretty accurately to word file format if desired. You can touch notes anywhere on your pad and listen to the conversation and make further notes. You can also download apps e.g for translating languages etc. a brilliant tool
- Bad points:
- An excellent device. However, a bit clunky to hold. Others are impressed. You have to buy the pads extra, but these seem to last a long time.
