+ The LG has very good suction and the range of tools supplied with it as standard is excellent and far more than many others. Dust box is easy to empty and refit. The power cord is a decent length and you can actually pull out the hose without the cleaner toppling over.

- The vacuum is quite heavy and can be a bit difficult to maneuver if the carpet height setting is too low as the suction power pulls it down to the carpet. Bit too bulky to fit under low chairs easily.

- Doesn't pick up at all well - I have pets and it was recommended as good at picking up hair - it's not!
Doesn't lift muddy marks on the carpet - my previous hoover would lift dried muddy marks.
Difficult to change settings when in use - have to switch off, lift and turn floor type setting.
Also difficult to find setting that works best.

+ Excellant suction, especially the small swival brush attachment, which works wonders on the stair carpet.

- Too heavy, especially when transfering back up the stairs. When using the hose attachment, the upright arm tends to fall down.

- Heavy!! Awkward to use as you have to constantly change the brush setting depending on the type of carpet you're vacuuming. The dust chamber is a tad on the small side so needs emptying more frequently.

- Heavy in use. Does not get under furniture as well as the tube on a conventional cleaner. Side mounted filter has a tendency to come open if caught against furniture, etc. Would seriously think twice about buying another of this make.

+ carpet adgitator works very well and that it can be used on carpet as well as hard floor. handle retracts for easier storage
