dave, London , “desktop video editor”
Score 8.0/10+ Good value full HD video monitor for watching from a short distance (eg HD video editing). Good picture quality, versatile range of inputs and fairly good picture setup adjustments.
- Usual LCD reservations of relatively low contrast and moderate response time, but reasonably OK as LCDs go. Can sometimes respond a bit slowly to the remote control.

Score 6.0/10+ Picture quality very good with exception of backlight bleed.
- Backlight bleed top and bottom of screen varies from unit to unit some also have screen clouding. Backlight circuitry buzzing when intensity lowered below 75, again buzzing intensity varies from unit to unit. I have not found one unit out of five that is free of these issues.

Barbara, Bolton , “Fantastic quality of picture”
Score 8.0/10+ Great picture quality and very stylish monitor. As a second TV used in the kitchen it is perfect.
- Sound not great but more than adequate for use and if need be because the monitor was so reasonably priced could just purchase a set of speakers to improve quality. Disappointed that having wall mounted the monitor cannot remove the neck that attaches to base and this does spoil the neat appearance of the set.

Score 9.0/10+ We bought this TV for my son's bedroom, mainly for him to play his XBox and PC on. The picture quality for gaming is excellent and he is very pleased with it. Looks good too!

Ricky, Preston , “Video/PC Gamer”
Score 9.0/10+ Monitor and Television combined into one unit, for the screen size it offerred the best value for money as a television. The rear of the unit has an assortment of ports, it can run just about any type of video input, from video and scart to HDMI and component. It also accepts all monitor input types supported by todays graphics cards. The ability to customise the darkness, contrast and backlight of the monitor means you can optimise the screen for whatever youre doing.
- The only downside to this unit perhaps is the medicore sound output from this televion, though it does have a digital optic sound port in the connections pannel. The base for the unit isnt very substantial, but as delicate as it looks I havent had problems with this unit falling over or wobbling if given the occasion bump.

Expert reviews for LG M227WD
TechRadar expert review
The first thing that strikes you about the M227WD LCD TV is the luxuriously designed chassis, boasting a glossy black frame with a contrasting red finish below the screen and on the back of the panel, as found on the maker's Scarlet TV range. Along with its good looks, the compact screen also doubles up as a PC monitor, upping its space-saving credentials even further. Also available as a 19in model, the TV sports a lightweight chassis that makes it easy to manoeuvre into position, while the stand can be tilted up and down for the optimum viewing angle. There's also a handy cable-tidy …

Expert Reviews expert review
LG\'s new 22in M227WD-PZ can\'t decide whether it\'s an HD TV or a PC monitor. LG calls it a \'multifunction monitor\', and the design mimics that of LG\'s HD TVs, with the same curved bezel and red highlight.
