+ Very neat unit with excellent battery life and a good screen. The dual headphone sockets are useful and the car cigarette lighter adaptor is also very useful. The swivel screen makes the unit easy to view in any situation.

+ Easy swivel facility make this dvd player so versatile. Easy set up and easy usage...my 8 year old daughter wont put it down!!! Great design and faily light weight. Pauses DVD/CD if closed during play and then continues from that point when opened agian. Had no problems at all, really pleased. Highly recommend.

- I guess the only bad point would be the white lid would look better black!

+ Unit looks fantastic in gloss black, with the back of the LCD being white. Plays any disc put into it, with no problems at all, and the two headphone sockets make shared use really easy. Brilliant packaging, and the accessories are good too, with a car charger as standard.

- The push button switches on the top surface are a bit stiff and feel cheap. It would be nice to have volume control on the remote control.

+ I bought this for my grandaughter ( age 11),she particularly wanted a dvd player with a swivel screen.
She is delighted with it in every respect- the design is 'cool',and the picture and sound quality are excellent. also the battery life is slightly longer than most,as she uses it for long car journeys this is a bonus.

+ Pretty neat piece of equipment. Not as light as some but still pretty compact. Screens swivels 360 degrees. Left to charge overnight so unsure how long a complete charge takes, but playing time is a good 2.5 hours. Big plus are the carry-case and the car mount which are included in the box.

LG makes no secret that it is aiming its DP271 at the budget end of the market. The LG website directs you towards Argos as a point of sale and the price sneaks in just under ¬£100 (inc.
