+ great picture and sound. Looks fantastic, very minimalistic. Plays most internet formats such as DiVX, MKV, etc. SimpLink to other LG products. Good upscaling. Choice of themes and screensaver. Easy to use (my 2 yo can use it). Good coice of outputs - component and HDMI plus co-ax and optical for sound. Regular firmware/driver updates - 3 since I bought it. YouTube works well.

- Remote slightly odd layout but does the job. Not multi-region for standard DVDs but may be a code to enable this. Would be nice if remote allowed texting style input e.g. press the numbers to choose letter like on a phone for YouTube rather than using an onscreen keyboard but this is a minor gripe.

+ I like the usb connection at the front, makes it easier to access.I like the design of the product, the way everything is tucked away, making the product look more streamlined. I love the fact that it plays mkv files striaght from a usb stick!,

- I don't like the way you have to connect with an ethernet to access youtube functions, but for the price it's great value for money

Expert reviews for LG BD-370

TechRadar expert review

The BD370 is the step-up version of the BD300 and is the first of a new generation of Blu-ray players that expand the format's web capabilities beyond movie-related downloads. It provides access to YouTube via its internet connection, bringing the site's plethora of movie clips into your living room. Features The YouTube feature will no doubt be seen as a mere gimmick by some, but surprisingly, the feature doesn't add a premium to the price so its inclusion is a bonus. The US version of the BD370 also provides access to movie streaming sites such as CinemaNow and Netflix, but the lack…
