LG 42PC56 Reviews: 42" Screen Plasma HD Ready TV

+ Looks really smart, very pleased with the package deal we got. Previously owned a Philips LCD but am much happier with LG.

- Bad sound quality - speaker vibrates badly and a buzzing noise can be heard.
Images burn onto the screen very easily, even the virgin tv program guide which is on screen for less than 1 minute leaves it's image on screen. This image fades after a few minutes but it is very annoying.
The on/off switch does not switch the tv off, it puts it onto standby which is not good. The only way to turn the tv off is by the electric socket on the wall and mine is behind the tv so it is very akward to get to.

+ Awesome TV, you can't grumble, theres absolutely nothing, and i mean nothing wrong with it. design, image sound its all just what i wanted. And a 42 in plasma, so 591, back in october still amaze! And it turned up for me birthday too! Great product, great price. Reconmended to ALL

+ Cant see a bad one,its a good product, with a slight dissapointment on the ability to capture the long distance moving image(eg football match - close up shots are brilliant - it might not be the television but the quality of the incoming signal).

- Not sure if its the TV, the rubbish weather or the aerial, but we've been have a few problems with a weak signal recently. Very frustrating in the middle of Neighbours! And as a result, we couldn't change channels by entering a number, only by scrolling up and down. And the occasional freezing gets annoying - and slightly worse on a live broadcast.

+ Excellent product for the money .. I had wanted a 1080p plasma screen and had been looking at all the different makes ..but still wanted a balance between quality and price . this product decided for me due to the 100hzscreen and i figured that to go for the 1080p wasn't worth the extra expense at the moment due to the fact that the only 1080p picture i can get at the moment is from blue ray or a HD upscaler disc player .. or from games which I do play a bit ..It will probably be 5 or 6 years befoe we actually get full HD pictures from satellite terrestrial etc .. The picture on this tv is excellent with quite a few tweaking options for those who like to fiddle ... Setup is a breeze sound is brilliant and games look fantastic .. For the price I cant find anything much to beat it at the moment .. Design is very slick .. one of the better screens on the market i would say .

- I just wish I had a bigger room so I could have bought the 50" screen .. Other than that i havent found anything bad at all about it yet of course ( i havent had it that long ).
